If you guys want a gasser (or any other heli for that matter)to run to its potential Rob is the man. CT Chopper is not your average builder. I have known him for a few years now and his understanding of engineering practices and mechanics is second to none. He is a no B.S. kinda guy and his work speaks for itself. When he shows up at the field with a new heli people are always taken aback by the quality of workmanship. His expertise doesnt end there..... His knowledge of r/c cars and boats is also exemplary. Electric , gas, nitro, hell even rubber band powered stuff. He's been there and has done it... and done well. If its s@#t he calls it s#@t. If its good he says so. he has helped many people fix the unfix able, myself included.

In other words... the info he posts is 100% accurate and un-biased.

Thanks

Nice review

Why did you use the sensor with your GV-1 and not a stator gator?
does it read beter on this motor?

Keep up the great work

I had a gator on there but it crapped out..

Not sure why it failed,
but the stock sensor works great.

Hi Phil,
12.5 degrees on collective 710mm blades, 7degrees on cyclic

im running a 601 with the 9650? whatever servo used to come in the kit
im getting a slight tail blow out on full collective,
that may be due to the stock tail blades being plastic and flexible

I also want to give a set of 690's a try and see how they do.

the 710's auto sweet even though they are light 710's

well now....

how many of Ya'll
would like to see a video of what she does at 1880 head speed ?
Hmmmm?

if i can figure out how to post a video your in for a treat

Please note that im excited about the way the heli is flying and sound like a 3rd grader..

this is only turning 1880 via GV-1
WITH 710mm blades 11* collective 8* cyclic
( had to turn down collective down a tad )

once i feel the engine is broken in better i will post a video
at a higher headspeed but it doesen't really need to turn any higher

Thanks,
Turbo and Chris

I can take credit for the build, setup, break-in, and tuning,

however my friend was behind the sticks while i was taking the video.

I cannot say who it was... but let's just say I know "peeps"

That was pretty impressive
I was like damn that guy flies really well! Should have kept that secret...my friend was behind the sticks

But really all kidding aside it looks good. Glad to hear its working out for you and enjoy it!

I'm going to be heading out this PM to go to the PA funfly. I'm in the clouds here and rain, I hope the weather is better further west. You video was sunny yesterday, no such luck here overcast and droplets in the air. At least I got the lawn mowed

Nice job,and your right there is another gear on this thing. I've been twisting mine around 12,200-12,500 rpm just wait. 1900 HS on that light weight model should be something.
