Having tried it both ways, IMHO "The Greaser" is well worth the price. It's a convenient tool, and makes the job much easier. I'm a cheap skate, usually, but when it comes to tools, I'm willing to spend a bit. I think Pete had a great idea there. It's the same principle as a 'bearing packer' that auto mechanics use - just in a miniaturized and self-storing version.
The only thing I haven't been able to do with it is grease an assembled swashplate w/ bearing (but maybe I didn't try hard enough).

"The helicopter is much easier to design than the aeroplane, but is worthless when done."

All I have to do is throw a finger full of grease in a ziplock and toss in 5 bearings, swirl around for two seconds, pull out the bearings and wipe off, done.

Easiest way bar none!
Just put the grease on a flat surface and make the spot a little larger than the bearing. Take a pair of pliers and lightly grab the bearing on the outside. Lightly tap the bearing (race side of course) on the grease that is on the table a few times. You will see the grease come through the top of the bearing and then you jut wipe off the excess Not too messy and easy to do.....Ron

Thats how I do my big bearings on cars and equipment. A dollop in my palm and one finger through the bearing. Start smacking the top edge of the bearing like your scooping off butter in the grease. You'll see the old grease start working its way out of the bearing then the new stuff, just spin the bearing in your finger till its packed. As far as the bet goes they both are fast and work well for whoever uses it, whichever method you like. I don't have to change bearings with new ones hardly ever at all so I WIN!!

Are you serious? Greasing a bearing does not constitute splashing some grease on them in a baggy. You have to press out the old grease with the new grease. You lose the bet by a mile.

I await my New 700E, you will be shipping that out Monday right?

Nice Hots. Did swoop give you a tracking number for your 700 yet?

Yes he does but this betting man doesn't lose. What I can't even post a video now I automatically lose? WTF! I know what I can do and what I can't and I know I can grease 5 bearings in 48 seconds. Yes 48 cause he only did 5 and he said he could do 10 for my 5. He didn't even do what he said he could do so he loses by default, he cheated!!! So do you need MY address Hots?

There's just no way you can put as much grease through as well as a greaser does as quickly as the "Greaser" does. Especially with the sealed bearings we use. Show me I say! I do not doubt that your way may work, just not as quickly or as well as the "Greaser"!

If you skip me I can't play!

Go back and read your own post swoop, you offered up the 700e and were so sure of yourself you said you would even go 5 to 5. I didn't cheat and you lost and you know it or would have presented proof already. Anyone with a half a brain knows you can't beat the time and thoroughness of "The Greaser". Everyone here knows you lost the bet.

You can go ahead and send me your address so I can send you the thank you card.

Yea right, keep talking crap. I can't take video right now but you made the bet and I said your on. You already made the terms and you couldn't even make a baseline for me to compare with. I said 5 to 5 just to taunt you and you took the bait and failed at the challenge, so you lose. If you were in the daytona 500 and by lap 250 you're in the lead, do you claim victory cause you're in the lead? Hell no. You didn't hold up your end of the bet so I can't lose. Like I said and I quote, "Your crazy if you think you will win that bet!" Where is Judge Judy when you need her?

Wow, talk about a sore loser. You are the big mouth that put up your 700e and even said you would go 5 to 5, not me. Like I said in my last post that it is crystal clear you lost the bet. I did not set the stakes here, you did.

Taunting someone as you put it is all fun and games until it turns around and bites you in the ass.

Really, all I have to do is grease 5 bearings any way I want for any amount of time and take a video of it. You laid down the bet and I said "your on". The 5 to 5 thing was after I accepted the challenge and was used as a taunt, yes. Your video showed us nothing. It looked like you were using "the greaser" but how do we know that? How do we know you even had grease in it? How do we actually know anything from that half-a$$ attempt of greasing 10 bearings? You stuck your foot in your mouth this time and you are trying to crawfish out of it by declaring instant victory without any proof whatsoever. Face it, you did not show anyone anything with that video so shut up already. Everyone knows it was a joke bet to begin with but you keep trying to beat a dead horse.
