I heard that the Heli box wouldn't leave DHL until they have the California Batch. Sorry.

Thanks, I guess when you pay almost $75 for shipping, you would expect it NOT to come in on the slow boat

shipping from europe must be run by mafia! I used DHL express from Jan for a small parts package (he also quoted UPS and fedex) and it was about 180euro for a tiny box, got it in 3 days though LOL

What's the next step up from Sluggie's Slowboat Service w/ Jan? Surely there has to be a plan "B" option. I'm absolutely not paying $75 to sit on my a$$ for 3 weeks waiting for the cat's meow. Anyone ever requested another option for shipping service? Do we have the option of using our own shipping accounts for our birds? I'm due any day now but I can't exactly justify putting my Air Ferrari in the hands of a no-name shipping service for that kind of coinage.

Sorry Ron, I hope when it does show up that everything's in good order.

Sure you can use your own service to pick up, but DHL express from Jan is probably 200euro for a kit

I just sent the payment for mine... that sure is the most money I've spent on a kit! let's hope it was worth it!

Been on the list since last October. May is my huckleberry but from your threads I'm hearing it could be the end of June. I'm nothing but grins and giggles waiting for my email about it. But Jan and I are going to have a little chat about shipping when it comes

Looks like the TDR-dream is going to be a reality

Return e-mail will be asked to be "short and simple", including info reguarding kit-specifics is best.
I'm sure Jan will give you a quote for DHL Express but, as helicraze already posted, (and IMHO) it will be very-expensive

Plus,
getting another shipping-quote will only take more-time for the next return e-mail (Jan has already stated that he gets nearly 100 e-mail's per day, impossible to answer *all* quickly)

For the money I'm paying I'd MUCH rather my bird stay safe in the hands of Jan Henseleit than sitting in a warehouse in bum-fucc, German surrounded by folks making minimum wage for 3 weeks. Besides, if money was the only factor we'd all still be flying Aligns and Eflite.

I'll keep my request brief.

Just to let you guys know its not Jans fault at all. For some reason unless you have a huge company account shipping from europe is very dear. I order from all over the world as part of my job, a small bottle was 300euro for 1 week delivery. I have ordered from many places in europe and thats the way it is.
Even the normal german post is dear, if it goes according to plan it takes 2-3 weeks, but can take upto 3 months (I had this happen 2 times). So if its critical a guaranteed express delivery is costly even for a tiny package. 200euro is normal regardless

I got 2 2010 kits last year and they took 4 weeks to get to Hawaii. Both kits got here without a scratch to the outside of the boxes and contents were perfect. Normally most of the stuff I get through the mail is handled roughly, but not this time.

Jan packs the kits well enough and what's 4 weeks compared to the length of time on the waiting list? When I responded to his email at the time of payment I enquired about spare parts and he politely asked me to wait and place a separate order. As said before, he is swamped.
