help me choosing new logo 600
new to the logo family please help me pick
hi guys i have a T700E V-bar 5.1 and love everything about that heli and cannot imagine a more stable heli i can use something more agile though this morning i went to fly my T600N and realized i need to get rid of this thing as i can no longer stand the noise, smoke and engine tuning electrics are so much easier. Any how my skill level i would say falls in the beginner bracket i'm comfortable doing tic/tocs figure 8's and recently master all the aurientation in inverted i like to fly smooth and most importanly i like to fly for a lot of minutes on the T700E my head speed is 1950 so i sacrifice power in exchange for longer flight time a good friend here told me the logo 600 is more precise then the 700e and is just if not more stable and if that's the true i want one can someone tell me what to except i already have the cyclic servos 8717's and a 611GY to put on it should i get the logo 600SE so i can run larger blades for stability please tell me help i was thinking on buying the ket this week with the vbar so i can start building it please tell me what motor to buy i was thinking of a 6s combination or will i get more time of a 10s combo

I can say, yes the 600 is a very stable machine good quality and also you should run it on 10s, 6s just won't cut it.

Logo 600
I went through the same process. I watched Jamie Robertson fly his 600 non SE. I think he runs 10s. I have watched Anthony Jager fly his before that. It is more than enough for me. 5 flights on mine yesterday. I love the Heli.

12s5000 is going to be heavy for a 600 swinging up to 620s but good for a 600se swinging 690s. The 600se will get 10-12 minutes with about 1700HS........RonTeam MikadoUSA 480XXTreme, 550SX, 600SX, 700XXTreme, 800XXTreme!!

The z-power / Tonic-X motors are quite efficient and would be a good choice, but for maximum flight times, I have found the Kontronik Tango series exceptionally good. Not the most powerfull , but definitely one of the most efficient.
That said, your probably only talking 20-30 seconds max extra flight time against a more powerfull motor, so not sure its worth worrying too much

Scoprion 4035-560 with 11t pinion is what I use. 7-8min flight times for mild 3d / sport flying. 8 mins on 1800 headspeed, 7 mins on 1950.-Jeff T.

Yes i brought the FBL kit
Am i really getting 20-30 seconds more time on a nonscorpion/less powerful motor guys i was thinking a less powerful motor would give me like 2-3 minutes more flight time. Can someone please confirm this because if that's the case then i'll just get a scorpion

scorpions aren't really THAT powerful

they run hot, and bearings go out fast

A less powerful motor will not get you more flight time. It's all about efficiency. The more load you put on a motor the less efficient it becomes.
Your efficiency will be best with lower headspeed and not much pitch. (collective management)

There is a non-linear efficiency curve to motors that slops progressively downwards the more power you are asking it to deliver. A motor that is lightly loaded (in a hover) may be consuming 500 watts and is 85% efficient (wasting only 75 watts as heat). But the same motor that is bogging down with high headspeed and high pitch may be consuming 3000+ watts at 70% efficiency providing only 2000 watts to the main blades and wasting 1000 watts has heat.

To further explain motor efficiency, here is a screenshot of scorpion_calc application that shows an efficiency plot (top graph). Notice how the red line quickly ramps up to ~85% at 25amps and then starts to quickly drop off at 75amps. In this graph the motor is only 60% efficient at 175amps.
Also, notice in the figures in the lower right corner... At 64.326 amps it's 84.8% efficient; consuming 952 watts but only delivering 771.7 watts to the blades. The difference is wasted as heat.

try a 4025-630 or 4025-740 scorpion.

these now come with a long shaft that will reach the pinion support extension....use it!

All you need to do for maintenance is lube the motor every 10-12 flights with the scorpion lube.

I'm using a 4025-740 on 153:13 mod 0.7 gearing, 10s-5000ma. perfect for sport flying
