RJX FBL Head Inquiry
Hi,

How is the quailty of the metal compared to the Align FBL?

Looked like there are different feathering shafts you need to use, is this true?

When I looked at Helidirect I did not see 1 items you can purchase just in case you crash, do you have to goto the manufacture and order those?

Thanks
Mark

I have the Align head installed on my 450SA and 450 Pro. No issues on either heli. I just put a RJX head on my 450SE V1. Again, no issues, seems to be of similar quality to the Align heads, but much less expensive. I'll probably put a RJX head on my Mini Titan when I convert that to FBL too.Gerry Cullan,

I have been using the RJX head with a mini v-bar. The geometry is spot on and the quality is good. I got mine from hobby king.

Difficult to make a comparison between the two really as I went from the flybarred head to the RJX FBL head. I don't think Align have got the geometry right on most of the heads they produce as you end up having to get shorter balls for the swash or move the ball in on the servo. The RJX head went straight on and I didn't have to make any ball position adjustments.

Hobby King also make a RJX rip-off head that works equally as well except for the swash follower arms. At circa $15 its worth a look.

I was interested to know because I was using the Align FBL head and had a little incident where now I need to purchase new blade grips because the threads for the ball links were stripped and I cannot retap them. I was hoping the RJX metal was of better quality.

I think I will order it anyway and see what happens over time.

Align Feathering Shafts
Nobody answered before. Can I still use my Align Feathering Shafts or do I need to use the RJX ones that Helidirect has?
