One on electric switches....
Hi,
I'd like to know if any of you knows if there is a conversion or any way to calculate how many amps a switch can withstand.
I bought few of these http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...b1%2fLgz41LI%3d to make harnesses for a couple of models and they state 6A @ 250v AC, 6A @125v AC and 1A @125v DC.
I wonder how many amps @6v DC????
They'll be running 8 digital mini servos

If it's for something that fly I'll ditch the switch and go with a connector.

To answer your question the switch will handle. Since you won't be moving the switch while moving all servos at the same time, there won't be any "on load" actuation. The figures you have are for switching on a live 1A load which cause arcing. If it was a live load then 1A@6VDC will apply.

Thanks for your reply.
They are for something that fly, but connectors are a bit of a pain since everything is tucked under the canopy.
I did some testings today, I got an halogen headlight bulb and connected it to a 13.8v 12A PS through the switch and it worked ok didn't even get warm. I didn't do any switching though...
I'll try that tomorrow
