RX battery packs - a123 --- SOLD !!!
Hello,

Up for sale are couple of a123 flight packs. These are genuine a123 (LiFe) batteries, I have harvested them myself from Dewalt battery packs. You might already be aware the advantages of a123 powering your receiver, just in case you are not, I am listing some of them below:

1. Literally thousands of cycles

2. No memory effect like nickel metal hydride batteries (Nimh)

3. Doesn’t catch fire like lipos

4. Doesn’t require balancing like lipos do

5. You can drain them ALL the way down without causing a fire (although not recommended in flight – for obvious reasons, lol)

6. Each pack is 2300mah, and puts out 6.6v nominal and around 6 volts under load

7. Can be charged right after using it, will not have any ill effect

8. I charged these flights packs at 1/2C, but can be safely charged at 10C (you will need to put on heavier duty leads for high charge rate)

I would like to sell get $22 for one pack or $42 for both. Prices include shipping within US and also paypal fees. You can buy with confidence, I have perfect feedback here (over 6 pages), and in case you are not happy with your purchase – I will do 100% refund as long as you also have good feedback (buyer to pay return shipping).

Cheers, Khan

What is the weight in grams of each pack, and do they require a special charger or do you charge them as you would a NiCad or NiMh ? What do you set your cut off voltage on your charger at ?
Thanks,
Don

Good power solution
I use a Turnigy charger to charge my LiFe batteries. It uses the LIPO/LIFE selection on the charger set at 2S. Batteries work very well. Mine are 2100ma and I charge them a 1.5A and take it easy with them. Good choice for 50-90 helis, light compact. I put back about 300ma after each Trex600 flight, so I fly about 5 flights and throw back on the charger to be sure.
