I would ask cgbole direct... The 560 was a beast in my estrat on 12s at 9.5:1 with fixed points throt. Could not make it bog for 5.5 min. I settled on the 4035 500, a little easier on the FP 4350 25c packs. That was a few years ago. The 4035 630 in my razor is a stump puller on 10s 40c. Both motors came down about 120 to 130*f. Oil after every 6 flights and the bearings on the 630 feel new after almost 40 flights.

I'm going to try out an Xera 4035 2.5Y (480kv) in my next E-Stratus (10:1)

Right now I'm running a 4035 500Kv Scorpion in my E-Spectra conversion (10:1) @ 2000 on the head. The power is awesome but the motor comes down scorching hot. The Xera supposed to be a more efficient and cooler running motor.

I've read the same about the heat of the scorpions but have yet to witness it in the 4 or 5 I've flown. I guess my old school 2d isn't flying it hard enough. never heard any bad feedback on the xera's. However some times more efficient is less power. Polish the pinion with a wire brush in your dremel and sparingly apply some silicone lubricant. It will be quieter and more efficient, and cooler as well.

The new Hacker Turnado motors are $40 cheaper than the Scorpions and German engineered.

4000 watts of reliable fun.
