14mz idle up switch.
I'm looking at the 14mz Quick Start Guide. I followed the instructions and assigned Switch E for normal, idle1 and idle2. According to the guide: "If using Switch E for idle up-1 the drawing on the screen will show the 3-position switch and the current position of the switch."

Well, the drawing shown "2-position" instead of 3-position?

Problem fixed. Some how switch E became a two position switch. I went in and changed it to 3-position.

A bit too happy.

I can go from normal to idle1 to idle2. However, from idle2, I can't go back to idle1. To get into idle1, I'd need to go all the back to normal?

Check Your on-pos on all three conditions. On a 3-pos switch you can (accidentially) set the condition to ON, in more than one condition.

Also check the condition order, the lowest condition has the highest priority. I set mine to (from top): Norm, Idle-up 1, Idle-up 2, Hold

Thanks. After about an hour of fiddling around I got it. Good thing that I bought extra batteries.

Now onto the next set of problems ... I just love this learning curve

Seems steep at first, but trust me, once you get the hang of it you will have a hard time with any other radio. I cannot imagine setting up any kind of complex model with anything other than a 14MZ or radios that shore its core programming.AMA Leader Member
