LOGO 3D SETUP
O.K Guys one more ???,Im flying my Logo 3D on X2 TP 5000 45c 5s, 12t/106m using a 120 HV CC and a Scorpion 4035 560 kv. It seems to be liking for power for an aggressive type of flying,Mild 3D seems to suit this setup, its nothing like Berts video. What type setups are you guys flying for getting down on the deck? Motors,Batts,etc...

That seems to be the correct setup. Your batteries are adding weight to your machine. I think Bert is flying 4000's in his machine. What headspeed are you running?

2050 is the the maxium that castle will let me do in Gov mode before it says there is not enough overhead.

You should be shooting for around 2250-2300 on the head. Use Mr Mel's headspeed calculator to figure out what pinion you need to get that headspeed. You'll probably end up with a 13 tooth pinion. The calculator is really accurate in determining the headspeed that will make the Castlelink complain about headroom.

100% throttle is 2400+ rpm on 10s with a 560kv motor using a 12t pinion. Ignore the CC warnings and set the gov to 2300 and hang on to your shorts.-Jeff T.

Thanks for all your inputs.I will ignore the CC warnings and up the head speed
One other thing i noticed was the motor comes down a little on the hot side compared to my other E helis. I Dont know if i was trying to push it to hard for the head speed i was using which may have caused it to heat up?? Any thoughts and help is greatly appreciated.

The -560 can easily cook an egg after a flight. It's a bummer because it's certainly inefficient in that regard but there are no ill effects with performance or longevity.

I Previously ran an ICE160HV with my 4225-610 with a 13 tooth pinion and it was never really that happy, changed from that to a Jive 120HV with 11tooth pinion and the difference is amazing, WAY better gov holding and much cooler runs on everything.
Also CC software didn't like high HS! even with a 13 tooth pinion, but now I'm getting 2250@ 70% throttle.

I run turnigy 6S 40 C 3000mahX2 with the 4035-500, 12T/106 setup and it's good. The CC 85HV software sucks and I"m still working on getting more consistant rpm, but getting there with upping gains, playing with gov high verses set rpm mode etc...the motor does come down hot compared to my other scorpion 4025 setups on my trex 600, don't know why?

JPhilli what is your setup. That thing is insane!
High Voltage just works better

On my 600 I use a 4025-560 with 12s TP 3300 65C packs. Pinion is an 11t and it's controlled by a Jive 120+.

Kontroniks are the only way to go in a high power setup IMO and the difference is significant between a CC controller in regards to head speed consistency and reliability. On my Logo 400 I cooked 4 ESCs in a row (two gaui and two CC's) then I went with a Jive 100LV and all was well after that.

Now thats the kind of power im looking for . I have a jive 120 on my trex 700 and it seems to do well. Think ill keep tweaking with CC 120 and see if i get some better performance out of it.

also check your settings, outrunner mode on castle escs will yield crappy perfromance.

optimally:
low timing to medium timing
12khz pwm

gov gain of 10-15 if your using the gov

do not use outrunner mode! Its bad for the esc and motor, and has terrible power. Castle reps will say the same thing go figure.
