“a flying, steel bodied, model military helicopter”
Must have been one hell of a power plant in that model...

Yet another case of the media trying to make a story out of nothing. Just get a load of the headline they used. Sensationalize much?

Sue someone for every thing down there it's so far out of hand it is not funny. Sorry I like you guys but seems weekly someone is suing someone for something else that's simply ridiculous....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

I would not say out of nothing, but I do think the media has their facts screwed up. As is usual.

Agnieszka Wlodek is seeking damages of $50,000 from the museum’s owner, Mark Sonday. Her husband, Jacek Wlodek, is seeking $50,000 each for two counts, negligent infliction of emotional distress and loss consortium, which claims he lost time and income in caring for his injured wife and suffered from the loss of her companionship.

I almost can't believe this is happening. Why was the lady not behind a protective net? I think the pilot is not the only responsible person, I think the organization is also responsible for spectator protection. Did he loose control? or dumb thumbed it?Team Synergy, Rail blades, Team Scorpion, V-Team

While the museum definitely bears responsibility for the medical bills, and might also bear responsibility for the lost wages, the emotional distress and loss of companionship is bull****.

I wonder how well that is going to fly "i had to spend so much time caring for my wide that it deprived me of her companionship!"

right, sure, you spent so much time in her presence that it deprived you of her presence.

I like how the comment states that it's just a toy helicopter. You can get away without chopping your head. I guess he wants to sample it for us. Jeffrey Fung...15 Years old - FLEET: Evo 50, Raptor 30, Trex 500, SDX's, X-Spec, Logo 10/400

It's only purpose was to kill as many people in as little time as possible, right? I'm all for freedom, but NO ONE needs a flying, steel bodied, model military helicopter. If it saves the life of just one child...

I think we've heard all this before. At least I recognize the typical arguments used by the media.

That's what we call making money the American way. Sue your neighbor.

It sure is out of hand.

I'm shocked to hear the media fail to report the 278 attack trained pit bulls that were on board the heli.

What I am finding very amazing here is how much just about everyone who has posted here is ASSUMING.

The story is very short on details. This could have been a serious injury, caused by a company that did not pause to consider the safety of customers and let a poor pilot fly in a dangerous way.

No way to say from the info at hand. Yet most here say how wrong the legal action is? At least get SOME FACTS folks.
