Vehicle shippers Questions
Anybody on here a member or has access to a message board that trasportion people use? I bought a rat rod truck and it is supposed to be shipped from Norfolk, Virgina to Larose, Louisiana. Now its been 3 weeks and the truck has not been picked up. Now i want to up the price. The driver can get a $200 cash bonus from me. Does this show in the boards they post the cars in? I just want my truck shipped.

you may wan to post the specific message board....there is more than one.

If your talking about U-ship....thats mainly for stuff, not whole cars or trucks....You may have better luck hitting the HAMB and looking in the HAMB-O-Dex

Ben D is the best there is (private guy, competative rates and insured) BUT these guys will be naming the price to ship, not you.

Lots of shady car shippers on the net....none of the guys thst i just refered you to are...

Word of advice....if you go to the site that I recommended....don't use the word "rat rod" they'll run ya off....
Ask your Doctor if getting off your ass is right for you.

I had a Vette shipped from Oregon to Indiana a couple of years ago, via enclosed carrier from a shipper that specialized in autos. Took FOREVER, about 6 weeks, but it arrived in one piece and in good condition. Car carriers wait until they have a decent shipment and route before they schedule anything. There is no hurrying the process up, at least from what I learned.

Oh ya, post some pics!!

I had a 56 VW shipped from Utah to SC. Took around three weeks. The hauler is not going to make any profit by hauling one vehicle at a time. They are probably holding out for another job.Welcome my son, Welcome to the machine
