YS91-3DS High Speed Needle
I finally manage to be in the engine break in process. Right now I have run 3 tanks doing hovering with the idle needle at 1 turn and the hovering at 1.75 turn. The engine base plate is just barely warm (almost cool) and yet I can feel lots of power. Now, when I adjust the hi speed needle and how?

Set the high needle to 1.25 open and start flying around. Leave those other settings for now and start flying the heli around loading the motor and putting some heat into it. You are not breaking in the sleeve and ring while hovering. Please stand by for faster service!

Rudy,

Break-in of a new motor is an exact science, and everybody is entitled to his own opinion. If not done correctly you'll wear-in the motor and will end up having only yourself to blame for a motor that is not performing.

YS motors are very sensitive during break-in.

Premature adjustments to the needles will ruin any motor.

PM me if you're interested in my opinion, I've lost more than one motor until I found out how it should be done.

HGH
