Throttle servo options
I am getting a N5 this week and would like to know what people are doing for the throttle servo, I know that Futaba servos fit the best but I would perfer not to spend $60 dollars for a throttle servo. Just looking to see what other are using.

Cant go wrong with a Futaba s3001 Servo (its what I used for all my nitros) can be had for less than $15

Plenty for throttle control no mater what gov or rev limiter you use.

I think its total over kill to use High $$ servos for throttle.

Edit: Ooops, I did not realize the N5 can only use mid size servos for throttle If mid size and cheap is what your after the align 510/520 can also be had for cheap.

Cheers,
Raven

The N5 radio tray requires the use of a mini servo for throttle. Futaba S9650/9257 servos are the only ones that fit directly as far as I know.

Savox
I second the Savox. It was $23 at the LHS and have been running it for a few weeks with no issues.

Hi,

I use the Spektrum H5000 servo on my N5, it fits perfectly and works really well. Spektrum also do a metal geared version of this sservo now which is the H5010.

You could also use the 510/520 servos from Align or the Savox versions.

As far as i know both the Spektrum and Align servos are OEM by Savox but i'm not 100%.
