No its not ok. In the Manual it clearly states just to move it to 6 deg period, if you dont get a blue light it means that your geometry is not 100% ok for flb, so probably you have to move your links even more to the center of the servoarms to get less trow but a higher resolution.Or you might need shorter balls on the swash to get less trows there.

Regards Pete

Ok, I was wondering if I should leave it at 8 or not. I dont understand why, I have the links set for the align FBL head, back to adjusting I guess.

There are two cyclic set up parameters.
Set the 6 degrees where it says 6 degrees(section J).
This is what the BeastX uses for corrections.

Now where it says cyclic limit(section K),set it as high as you want without binding.

So yes,it's OK to have 8 degrees of cyclic as long as the cyclic calibration is set to 6 degrees.

My 600 has 8 degrees of cyclic and my 700 has 10 degrees of cyclic.
Both were set to 6 degrees

No.You definitely need the blue light in step J.

You'll get the blue light at 6.
If not, your mechanical set up is off.

Make sure you have zero pitch at 50% throttle in every flight mode.

The blue light on mine will stay on from 5 degrees to 8.
Just set it to 6 though.

Then set it to 8 in step L

Ok, I went back to step G and centered the swash a little better and was at -.5 pitch instead fo 0. I was then able to get 6 cyclic with the blue light on. I figured that half degree neg would be ok. What do you think.

You're good.
Nobody can get a half degree accuracy on the stick and you probably can't even get within a half degree with your pitch gauge.

Again,you're good.
