I bought some red protective wiring mesh for all my gyro/servo wires on my T-Rex 700e and used red shrink wrap for the ends. I also used red zip-ties to hold them in place. It keeps the wires safe and makes for a clean heli.

Here are some pics after installation over the weekend.

Not only makes for a clean heli, but also assures you will not have cut wires causing a crash. Nice work. I like the little waterproof camera up front.

Thanks! I bought them from "Fortune Model Products". The colors available are Black,Red,Blue,Yellow,Green,Orange and special heat resistant White.

I bought red because I like the contrast between the black/gray carbon fiber and the red.

Here is the RR link... https://rc.runryder.com/t275871p1/

The owners name is Mike and he is very friendly and helpful. He ships fast too!

I use the stuff for asthetic purposes. I am anal about my wiring and it does make it look much nicer. It offers some protection but it will still chaff if you dont take the same precautions you would with uncovered wiring.

I have tried many different sources for that stuff and by far the nicest stuff I found was being sold by a private seller on another forum. It has a very tight weave and resists fraying much better than any of the 6 or 7 other sources I tried.

I also try to make it look nice, and I did a lot of research on the best mesh before I spent the money. After much thought, I decided to go with FMP. I tried to cut the mesh with a NEW razor blade to fit the wires, and much to my suprise it didnt cut until I put A LOT of pressure on it. I know the edges of carbon fiber frames can be sharp. I can rest assure these wires are safe. As far as fraying, as long as you heat the blade, no fraying. Trust me, these protective meshes are a must have.

I have tried the FMP brand along with others and find this stuff to be much higher quality.

lol....
Should have put a HUGE disclaimer on there.

"this is not my heli, my wiring would NEVER look like this!"

LOL...I dont have any pics of my wiring since replacing with that brand sleeve. Lifted the pic off the thread regarding this brand sleeve.

Just started using this stuff. Really takes the ugliness out of the wires that are run on the outside of the frames. Pretty tough stuff too.

Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby?
