Hi guys,
Can any one tell me how to get my Thunder AC-6 battery charger to charge at a higher rate for faster charging? No matter what charge mode I choose, fast, balance, manual, auto, I set the charge rate at 5 amps and the charger will only charge my 6s 5000 packs at 2.2-2.3 amps. It takes 2 hours to charge these packs. Any help? thx

...I have one too and first off, If you only have a power supply that is 2-3 amps, that is all it will do.
Have you tried charging off a car Batt.?
You should be able to select higher amps when you scroll to that when setting up to balance Charge.

Thunder T6
...I have 4 qty 6s batts i use for my 2 Gaui's 500 blade and 550 blade
I only charge at 1-2c , so I have never really pushed mine to see wgat it will do in the field...I always charge the night before and run through the batts and when one is pulled from the Heli, it goes on the truck powered T6 charge.
I have only ever had to wait one time for a batt to finish chargeing during the day...it always finished before I needed it
When I'm done for the day, I'll do hover practice to drain the batts to storage level 3.8v.
I use a Converted Computer pwr supply at home to charge. I have a 24v mega charger, but have never needed it
the 3s for my planks are the same way...
Your 5000 mah is another story...it takes time to do those for sure !

Ok, Thanks to all for your experances and responce. The charger will charge the 3s packs at more amps for faster charging. The 6s packs are to big for the AC6 to charge any faster then 2.3 amps. It is only a $50 charger that doesn't even have a cooling fan. For the money and over nite charing it is a great buy and works well. To charge 6s batterys at the field faster you need to get a better charger.
