Just ordered these as suggested by another RR member. These dont look anything like the pics ive seen of these blades.

These are suppose to be the 700mm F3C/FAI blades.

Did I order the wrong blades, or these wrong blades in right package?

These were bought from Rons.

Thanks guys

Roy

Century lists those blades as "700mm FAI/F3C Carbon Fiber Main Blades" They aren't the 'SG' ones that most people use. I've been told that they are exactly the same other than the color and that every set of SG blades are supposed to be the exact same weight so they don't vary from set to set. In fact, I was told that they come off the exact same assembly line. They take a few of the best blades out of their batch, make sure they weigh a specific amount and paint them up with the SG colors.

I'm sure someone else will chime in if this issn't correct.

You're used to seeing the SG version of those blades which are red and white. What you have is fine; I've seen the non SG FAI blades in that color.

You could call Helicopter World or PM Oldfart here on RR and confirm that the latest versions of that blade are indeed coming in with the yellow trim that is present in other marketplaces.

I've seen >25g variation in SG blade weight, though most weight about 225g. I've seen the yellow ones at least that heavy.

Why??? Color?

They fly the same way. Wayne Mann flew a set of them on his '09 FAI World Team model, and that set was heavier than any SG set I've ever seen, >230g. The only thing accomplished by getting the SG's is the different color scheme and paying more money.

Blades
Arnaud Poyet has been doing well and he uses the black and yellow blades. I think Kunaii used them at the US Nationals last year as well.

The blades on Kunii-san's model certainly looked like them.

Same blade. Weight is not as consistent. I fly both and find no difference.

I decided to keep this set and order a set of SG's as well as i have 2 helis for F3C.

These weigh 220 grams.

These heavy blades should make for some nice autos.
