For cars it's 20 years to be an antique ,,wonder what it is for RC heli's??
I have seen guys make the 1005 into a CCPM setup ,,but I'm building a Spectra now and want to try to keep the 1005 factory style. It's so great they still make parts. At least most of them.
In talking to Min Air I gave them my serial number and said it was made in 1995.

I just checked my original box
and found this number on it, 501485. Is that the serial number?

I bought mine back in September of 1997. I wonder how this number compares to yours?

I called Min Air when I got the 1005 used for parts . I told them I just got it and asked me for the serial number and put me on hold. They then told me it was from 1995.

motors
First one has the g23 and the second with the jewel has the g26hanson..G23 runs hotter due to the thin cooling fins..

What is your serial number?
Out of curiosity I want to compare it to mine. I am assuming the 5 is the 1005 design, the the serial number is 01485 which is the 1485th kit since they came out back in 1994 or so.

I installed and programmed the GV-1 (thanks for the great setup thread Raja!) It works flawlessly. No overspeeding and holds RPM very well. It really made my motor come to life! Thanks again for all the help, video soon....
