700 stretch
Could you still use 700mm blades for this setup? And the gear ratio seems like it would have to be different. Has anyone tried this out yet? Post your setup.

Regardless of the boom length, the gear ratio would stay the same for 700mm blades.

Typically, the tail blades are increase for more authority with 800mm blades because the gear ratio's are currently fixed.

In fact, running a longer boom on 700mm blades makes the stock tail blades more efficient and increase tail authority, like the Synergy N5.

yes I suppose its just like using a longer bar to slacken a nut , longer boom will give more leverage.

Would love to but wouldn't fit in my car! I put mine behind the front seats and still need to take the canopy off with the stock boom!

800mm tail boom result.
It solve my previous problem since using Gy520,Spartan and now with CGY750.
My big problem before is tail just slightly moving left right in slow movement when inverted hovering (need more gain),
I think main cause of that is air flow from main blade make the tail authority greater when in normal hovering condition.(gain is perfect on this condition)
But it another way around when i flip it to inverted, it's look like my tail authority is gone.
Try change lot's of thing from mechanical to electronically to get a better result.
Until today, i totally get it
(just my personal opinion)

Not only tail boom Bro, i also change tail blade to 115mm (more then T100 main blade).
Main blade i change to 710mm from 690mm,using YS 3DS.
Honestly i'm not feel the different in between 710 to 690 before, now i do.
Fast inverted tail in dive, the tail hold lot better with long boom.
Just slightly change on COG, little bit tail heavy. Counter it with 3S 2200mah rx lipo
( just personal opinion Bro)
