Got an N9 and love the way it flies with a flybar but it is bone stock and a little slow. Does nice slow 3D. Anyhow I want to go flybarless on a 90. Do I get an RJX head and put some SE bits on the machine (aluminum engine/frame support, SE tail) or do I sell it.

Is there a future for the machine? Is there a Synergy FBL head on the way?

Not sure what to do really as I like it a lot but it is getting behind the curve with what has been seen a lack of support. Though it is nice to see that more parts are out there now for the N9.

You opinions please!!

You could run a stock headblock with the SE grips..

http://www.ronlund.com/mm5/merchant...ode=SYN_N9_HEAD

And then slap the FBH grip arms on them..

http://tylerbonta.com/page3
(4th item down, Part # FBH-HD-003)

Matt runs a stock center block on his FBL E9 with SE grips and custom grip arms of his own design. His custom grips arms have not been made available to the public but I can say they are very similar to the FBH grip arms. They both fit on SE grips.

You would still need to get the links from the swash to the blade grips taken care of, I use Lunsford Racing Titanium Turnbuckles. Can't remember where I got them, they should be readily available just do a search for them.

Its a setup that would run you about $185 (with the turnbuckles) for a very nice FBL head and you can use the stock mainshaft and spindle still..

Just another option for ya

BOOM! Left hook... that just changed the fight..

My thoughts are this: if you decide to upgrade to flybarless you will quickly find how much it will transform the heli into a completely different machine. Power, smoothness, agility, etc, all for the better. It's flat out more fun to fly forward/backward flight patterns because of how flybarless heli's carry speed. Theoretically your nitro engine should be a bit easier to tune as well.

FBL
I know I might be asking an open ended question, but any preference to which system to run V-bar, Futaba, etc? I am waiting on an N9 and might convert it right away.

I've run 5.0 VBAR and now 5.1 on my E9's, they perform excellent with the machine set up correctly!

I'm running a N9 with FBH FBL head through a Beastx controller. Works a treat.

I run a FBH on my N9 with a V-bar 5.1 and it is one hell of a machine, 8717hv's 8900g on the tail and 8717 on throttle running a 6000mah 7.4 on the RX pack. I wouldn't sale her for the world. Absolutely love this machine. Can't wait for the new N5c Gave up My avants for SYNERGY AND NEVER LOOKED BACK!!
