how many ohms are your batteries reading and how many cycles?

I have a turnigy 45c nano 45 cycles at 29mΩ
and a Spyder 25c with 30 cycles at 9mΩ

I think this will make a great thread when looking for quality packs.

Be sure and understand that there are a lot of variables when measuring IR. State of charge, temp and the charger itself can greatly effect the readings. As such it is a little bit difficult to compare different packs, especially when they are measured by different people.

I have charged these batteries several times under similar but still different conditions, and it always gives the same readings on these packs... I would think it is safe to compare my readings to other peoples readings with the same charger.

Put a pack in the fridge for half an hour and then check it, that should show you what I am talking about

All of my 6s packs are reading between 3 and 5 at the end of charge, those are Turnigy 5000 and 4000 30 and 25c packs. My Lightning Power 45c 4500 5s packs finish up at 4 and 5. The little 4s 2200 Outrage NRG and Xp 25 all finish between 22 and 30.

I'm having a hard time believing that my 20 large packs all read so much lower than everyone else's. They all have around 10 cycles on them.

Be aware that not all devices measure IR the same way so even the same pack will display different results on different devices. Sometimes the results between different devices can be quite drastic.

My point was that identical models should yield the same result, however, brand x and brand y may not and the difference between brand x and brand y may be significant.

My FMA PL8 measures individual cell IR when charging. The new TP-820 measures IR as well.

it would be interesting to see how close they are on the readings... I might play with that at the next event I go to.

My older Duo does it, and so did my Cellpro 10. I found that the readings between the CP and Duo were not consistent.

Any charger that reads the IR after a charge, like the Cellpro 10S, is reading a warm pack and the IR will vary with charge rate, room temp, etc. If you follow some of EDF's posts on the subject over on RCGroups, you will see that most newer chargers measure fairly consistently on the same pack.
