Hey Tommy that is the best disquiseed cell tower that i have ever seen. I wish there were one like it in my backyard or for that matter at our flying site.

Yikes, I don't know what they were saying but I wouldn't want to be flying near all of those towers!

Man that video looks a lot like pilot error. Look at the wind sock...looks like the wind got it and he slammed it to the ground. He was way to close to begin with and is lucky to be alive. You;re right there are a ton of towers behind him.

Marty & Uncle...yeah the giant flag was pretty clever. The towers are fairly new and there are a couple around East Orlando.

Thats true, it might have been the wind. I certainly agree with dumping it away like he did. That was close and worth the death of a heli to sasve himself. He should have never been that close!

As for the flagpole/cell tower, that really is needed and looks great. Those silly towers are popping up everywhere and with multiple companies not sharing towers, there's only going to be a lot more of them as they fill in the blanks of coverage.

That wasn't in this country and who knows what signal those towers put out...

It was also a Spectrum radio...

I'm not a linguist, but I believe this is Portuguese after viewing it on YOU-Tube and looking at the responces...

Your right, it is Portugese. However, to conclude this was the fault of Spektrum is not right. I have a T-Rex 450 Pro and T-Rex 700e. Both are running off Spektrum and have no problems. I trust all my machines with Spektrum. NO issues.

The frequency from those large towers and flying so close spells disaster. The heli did jump out of the comfort zone, he had no control over it.

I would like to say he is very fortunate it did not strike him in the face. Those blades would have shattered his facial bone structure in the twinkle of an eye.

This give me peace of mind. It's built for FPV, so the RXs have strong filtering made to handle 900mhz, 1.2ghz and 2.4hz on board transmitters.

Flying on the edge of a cliff with lots of wind. It's called a "rotor". He got blown back and up, panicked and dumped it. Then tried to say it was a hold. The towers had nothing to do with it, it was where and how he was flying.

Is that taking the place of the normal antenna and module on your 14MZ? If so that kind of alteration or modification is not legal in the US (I know you are in Canada, just making an observation).

We fly about 1/4 mile from a wireless tower and never had any problems. The owner of the property we fly at has wireless internet from that tower, and we did some very unscientific test with both JR, and Futaba, using both 72mhz and 2.4 systems and found no interference even when standing a foot away from the antenna.

Would not want to guarantee 100% that it could not cause issues though.

No, my original module/antenna is unmodified and can still be used.
It's simply something you stick to the back of your radio and feed from the trainer PPM signal. As far as I know it is legal in the US given you have a HAM.

SkyCam... My point being that the post is titled "Futaba FASST" and you bring in Spectrum... All I'm saying is pay attention to details...

If you choose to fly Spectrum and have luck with it, good for you...

Again the OP was concerned about Futaba FASST, and his questions have been answered...

I personally think disguised cell towers are horribly disgusting travesties to my eyes. They do not fool anyone and in fact stand out more than just a civilization structure. We don't disguise our homes as mountains or our airplanes as birds with fake feathers all over it? lol.

twguns,

As far as the video I posted, it was in reference to the towers in the background. If I was able to locate a video with Futaba near the towers, I would have posted it.

I was replying to your post "It was also a Spectrum radio..."

You would think that you could at least get the quote right...

You can't even read and then post correctly...
