Helloo guys

I finished building of my new Vibe90SG with JR FBL head. However, I cannot get necessary pitch range without binding on the head.

Could you inform me about your head settings ? I can get maximum 11 degrees of pitch and 6 degrees cyclic without binding.

I appreciate any help.

That's strange. I get +-13.5 pitch and +-11 cyclic on mine. Of course I had to lower them electronically.

I had to reposition my linkages on the servo horns to get that pitch range without binding.

Can you share your setup?

Regards,
G

I have JR 8717s on cyclic and Quick UK CNC servo wheels mounted. Ball links are mounted on top middle holes of the servo wheel.

I had to move mine in towards the center to REDUCE travel!

You can kinda see it in this pic:

Maybe post some pictures? Or check your linkages again?

Here are the setup videos :

In center stick washout arms are parallel, pitch is zero degrees.

Swashplate to mixing arm : Inner hole (hole closest to center)
Washout to mixing arm : Outer hole (hole away from center)

I can get 11 degrees maximum with that setup. No binding.

Im having this same issue with the flybar version, I can get the pitch i need but when I add the cyclic I need for normal tic tocs it binds. When I reduce the throws to get the binding out my elevator/aileron response is slow. Any ideas, everything is 90 deg and set proper.

Dynamite,

You have the main shaft collar on the wrong side. It should be under the bearing block. Im not sure, but that could possibly affect your negative pitch and cyclic range. I would correct this first and then remeasure your pitch and cyclic range. We'll start from there again.

Regards,
G

Ps, we WILL fix your issue becaue i just double checked mine and its easy to get -+13 without any binding.

Dear G,

I didn't follow the manual at all when I building the heli and supposed that shaft collar is similar like others. Now I checked it and I am shocked. What a design...

This will fix the problem probably.

Thanks

I put the shaft collar on the right place. Now I can get more then 15 degrees on both sides. Now the post is useless I think

Fenderbean,

I only have the FBL version, so I don't have any idea about the head with flybar. One question : Did you set your swashplate 17mm above the main bearing block at "0" degree ?
