Fellas, picked up a used MX-400 about 5 years ago. I had a Blade Cp with alot of upgrades at that time. Things changed and I quit doing helicoters for the last 4 years. Now I am back and ready to start where I left off. The MX has issues and I really need some help. First Off I replaced the stock head parts with aluminum parts and they seem to fit and work kind of. The bird has a futaba receiver R156F, a Futaba GY240 gyro and Futaba S-3107 servos. It has a belt driven tail that is stock. I have a Futaba T6XHP transmitter. A friend of mine has an Align 450 Pro and he came over to take a look at the heli and told me it has a lot of issues. He said that the tail rotor seems to have a lot of drag and should spin more freely. Since his bird has shaft drive on the tail it should be a lot smoother than a belt driven tail, so I can't really compare apples to apples. If anyone has a belt driven MX-400, please comment. Right now I am trying to get the bird mechanically sound before I even try flying it, so I have a lot of tinkering to do. When your away from helicopters for over 4 years, its hard to get all the info right that it takes to make a bird fly but I am working on it. I have read a lot of posts on the MX and they all seem to be positive, now I have to get it working right and start flying. Thanks the Spudman

I have had problems with mine where the blades will not track no matter what blade I use or how many times I've tinkered with it. So, I leave it the way it is and just 3d the heck out of it!
I replaced the 240 gyro with a 401 - no issues with the tail.

But, the heli I enjoy flying now is my Mini-Titan which has the same problem with blade tracking.

I am looking to get an Align Pro.

Here's some other questions. I just purchased a EXI 450 Pro Kit from
XHeli.com. It comes partially pre -assembled. With no tx, rx, servos gyro or lipo. What I need to know is, can I take the electronics, servos and gyro off of my MX-400 and put it on the EXI-450. It is 72 GHz. on the tx and rx. Will this work or am I gonna need something different. If it works, it will save me a lot of $ and from what I can decifer the EXI 450 Pro is a clone to a Trex 450 Pro and with shaft drive, metal head and tail, it should just fly awsome. Any input would be very appreciated. Thanks The Spudman

You're better off using the Align 450 electronics in it as it is the clone of it.
