Just curious if any of you have had cause to deal with them and how you felt about their services?
Unfortunately I think I will be having to deal with them. I just got my mCPX and even after complying with the bulletins and reading about all the different issues with it on my maiden flight the blades let go just out of ground effect I went to the LHS and got a new feathering shaft and installed it per instructions but now it will not bind with the Tx (DX4e) my RTF came with I have tried several times with no success. It will not go into positive pitch unless I push on the trainer button. The trainer button is acting as a collective. The instructions say that this is an indication that the 3 in 1 is not binding with the Tx. I have sent them a direct email and a web based mail to get the ball rolling on sending it in to them for repairs. I hope they are good about it and fairly quick LOL, I really like the little thing.

Good Flying!

my buddies did that with a dx5.rebind a few times. took like 5 times with his and its been fine every since!!!!

make sure you bind just like instructions as i think you have to hit a certian way on left stick while binding non computer radio

If you stay Higher it takes longer to crash

That is strange that the blades just few off right out of the box. I believe that most of the problems were after people crashed them and damaged the bearings. Anyway Horizon has great customer service in my recent experience. You should check to see if you have the new or old blade grips. They should have a B on them. Look at the bulletin that Horizon has posted about the issue it will explain where to look. If you don't have the new blade grips fill out the form on horizon's website and they will ship you the new B grips.

Lastly as for your binding issue. The MCPX has two modes to bind in. One is for computer radios and one is for non computer radios, i.e., your DX4e. You need to follow the instructions in the instruction book for binding to a non computer radio. It is rather complicated, there are like 9 different steps. I had the same problem with mine and called horizon only to find out that I was trying to bind the heli like I did to my DX8. It won't work and will just stay stuck at full negative pitch.
Good luck and don't hesitate to call horizon if you have a problem. Their phones are pretty backed up so call early in the day and use the call back option and they will hopefully call you back quickly.

Well in short I think their customer service is great!

I just got my mcpx yesterday from the horizon service center because the control board (I thought) didn't work out of the box. As it turns out the motor ended up being bad which caused cut-outs with the control board.

When I first had the problem (day 1) I called horizon up and said I had a problem. They said send it back and they'll fix it. I didn't tell them that the problem had caused a crash and broke blades. 5 Days later I got the helicopter back with new blades and the new blade grips in addition to the updated grips they sent to my house.

So in conclusion I have never had any problems with Horizons Service center. I think they SET the industry standard when it comes to service.

Thanks Guys
Thanks for your input. Turns out they do have excellent customer service! I called them after reading a few posts and had a return call early this afternoon. I explained my situation, he walked throught the re-binding process with me and it did bind, however during one of the steps the little guy just powered up without any input. So we tried a few more times with the same result, theres a new 3 in 1 on the way to me already.

That sounds about right to me. Horizon has been really good to me, glad to hear others also have these types of experiences with them.

Second to none
They are great and should be, considering that's what we pay the huge markups for. . . .
