Yes I get the award this year, I cant believe im telling this, but.... Today I drove my one of 5082 produced...1679 made in black Mustang Cobra convertible through my garage door!!! Yep, being stupid, and moving the car, blam though the door. Door totaled 645.00 Body work? who knows as of this moment, hood, fenders, front clip, scatched all up. pics to come. I know I should feel gratefull I didnt hurt myself or others, but darn...this still hurts, keep in mind, I drove it once since I bought it, in Dec 2010

Bummer. can happen to anyone.

I feel for you. Ironic thing is I put my car in the garage to protect it from the elements, but I've gotten more scratches in that tight space than anywhere else.

Did you drive like thus?...

Seriously though...

That's tough. Will insurance cover it?

Bummer. I'd hate to do that with my show car. I guess the top thing is that no one was hurt. And then everything is repairable.

They didn't. In 1679 Mustangs ran on hay.

I was reminded by a friend how lucky I was. My left leg was outside the car being drug. If I would have made it through the thresh hold the door would have been slammed shut on my leg. Wow

I bought it Dec 30th 2010, with the snow and all the bad weather, then I changed the blower pulley, so I had to have it tuned on the dyno, now I dorked it up, but that will be fixed also

aaahh,I see.I just noticed you are in Gettysburg.I'm not too far away, here in Aston,Pa,its near Media.

And yes, with the winter we had,I completely understand not driving it.People in other parts of the country dont really know too much about it but the salt we use around here TEARS CARS UP,no matter what kind of undercoating you have or how good you wash it,it literally eats cars as they sit.

But,awesome car,enjoy.maybe we'll meet up at a funfly
