I would like to practice lifting objects. I thought I would start with a nearly empty milk jug (enough water to prevent it from blowing in the initial updraft) connected by a small chain at lest 1 1/2 meter long. The light chain so it doesn't get blown up into the blades.
This is for a 700 size electric with 10s 5000mah, 710 mm blades. Chain to be connected at the CG.
Why ? Just because I want to try.
I realize the load swinging will cause some new learning to damp it out.
Landing will also be very tricky unless I work out a release to drop the load.
.
Any suggestions or warnings from some who might have tried this.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Seen a few on the tube !
Most of the guy's were picking up M/T fuel jug's filled with water.

They hover over - stick the skid thru the jug handle then go up to altitude.

To get them off - they do a quick Piro : Off it Sling's !

Land's like a bomb

I'd try it but with my luck - it's land in the pit's or on top of somebodies car.

They do go off with a big bang and a big spoosh though

That would require zero prep work. Thanks, now that you bring it up I remember seeing that.
