Hi all

Yip ive run into this issue, they were so tight when installed that swash movement was far to restricted, anyway i sanded a bit off the dampners, but got it wrong by about.0.3/5mm,as this is now the play i have on the one blade grip. Now will this hold up under load or will the load correct this,i now that one sure way to tell is blade tracking,if this is unobtainable then its new head dampner time.
They have been ordered but i must say they must be one of the hardest dampners out there!!
Regards

you need the raptor (red) dampers they are the best bet.

fuel it < check it <> fly it > clean it

ahhhm you should be able to use them then. just double check they are the correct size. the stock elyq dampers are too stiff in my opinion.

good to know LOOP theres alot of things on this heli that when spooled up they work correctly(Tail blade grips, Floating flybar, now head dampners) Maybe i will take the rappy ones out and put back in stock and even though there notchy they might loosen up in flight. Like them better anyway there super hard

how do you have notchy head dampers ? new to me. what you must check with the vision 50 alloy blade grips is there are 2 bolts that hold the arm to grip, one is just abit too long and ehrn tightened up it makes contact with the outer bearing housing, this causes the notchy bearing . the simple fix is to grid off approx 1/2 mm if that and all is fine. to inspect to see if you have this problem just remove the grips from head plus take out both bearings and look to see if some thread from the arm bolts protrude alittle into the grip bearing housing.

Hi Soloman
My thrust bearings in my blade grips(vision 90) are notchy, lot less now with new head dampners, checked the bolts on either side and they dont protrude beyond the internal seat of the blade grip(pity read that post a while ago and would have saved a lot of pratting about)
When the one blade grip is installed and you go to install the other you can see the space between the spindel and outer bearing wich when all tightened up gives you that extra load on the bearings because there is so little give in the new dampners but will go when spooled up and kept just below hovering for a while and then it seats itself
So ill give it a go and let everyone know
Kind regards

The dampeners are the same as TRex 700! Mine where a bit notchy too but after 4 or 5 flights they have come good.
