prefer the 600 cut down to 550. was not interested in the 500 kit.

can upgrade down the road. 7 lbs 2 oz will work.

let me help you out here.

my logo: logo 600, 10s, 600 blades weighs 7.8 pounds ( or 7 lbs 8oz, wich ever you prefer). i was just going with what the read out on the scale is.(weighed it three times)...and it had the blade holder on

logo 500/550: logo 500/550,6s,550 blades longer boom weighed 7.2 pounds ( or 7 lbs 2 oz wich ever you prefer).

here comes the tricky part:

7.8 pounds (or 7 lbs 8 oz, wich ever you prefer) minus 7.2 pounds (or 7 lbs 2oz, wich ever you prefer) = a difference of ....... 6 oz. yup, thats the how the math comes out, amazing, i know.

everything else sounds good

I know I am a little old fashion, but I was taught there is 16 oz in a pound and if you figure 7.8 pounds ='s 7 lbs 8 oz my math teacher would give you an "F"

7.8 lbs ='s 7 lbs 12.8 oz for an error of 4.8 oz (now that is amazing)
7.2 lbs ='s 7 lbs 3.2 oz for an error of 1.2 oz

I'm looking at your math, I think you forgot (or didn't know) there is 16 oz in a lb not 10

yes, 7 lbs 2 oz vs. 7 lbs 13 oz

the 11 oz (almost 3/4 of a pound) difference would account for longer blades and batts.

be careful with math. it's tricky.

Just out of curiousity, if object a weighs 7 lbs 8oz and object b weighs 7 lbs 2oz, what would the difference be?
Jerryk, I was stating 7.2 and 7.8 as lbs and oz. I should have put as "lbs" and "oz", it was just quicker to put a "point". Sorry about that.

thank you.

the trex is sold but the logo will go from 6s to 12s in the not-too-distant-future.

a 6 lb 14 oz machine with a 6s motor that has peaked 7.5 hp and over 5330 watts.

this should be interesting.

i'm also hearing about the newer align 700mx, of all things, as an option for 12s.

not planning to pull the trigger yet until the voltz 65c packs are available and in-hand. i have much to ponder here.

billybob,

check the email i sent you on this.

got 2 more flights in today and started flipping and flopping, nothing too hard yet. getting more comfortable with it.

it does fly lighter, even though it isn't (than the rex 550e). well, maybe 3 ounces.

flys smoother and sounds and feels less strained with the kde/neu 1907 at 2500 headspeed. flys alot like the last german machine i owned.

after 4 flights and looking for something that might need work, i can't find it. not much to work on when you take a frame set from 25 pieces to 2 pieces and maybe 10 more parts to the whole machine. the instruction manual is 6 pages. gotta be the easiest machine to build ever produced.

gotta decide if i want to stretch to 620'ish or 690'ish. 2 different setups.

may start with the 700mx motor if going 690 while waiting on a new yet-to-be-released motor that i am supposed to get a test sample as a gimme to try out, it appears.

it is for 690mm and is supposed to be wicked powerful. it will be a 700-800 class motor.

so the question is do i want to go big and fast with 690 or medium and snappy with 620?

should get a couple more flights tomorrow and maybe some video.

the move from china to germany is a big one.

You will find you don't need 2500 hs. Back her down to 2300 and your flight time will be better. Still plenty of cowbell there...
