BBB I see your frustration.

I had to back out from a purchase the other day and felt terrible, but someone offered me a way better deal. I have always been a person of my word, but this time I was lucky I didn't send the paypal right away.

bigbadbaker got one waaaaay back by the way

Scammers suck.

I'm going to buy something and as soon as it gets here,I'll check to see if I can use it.
If I can't,I'll cry and say it was the sellers fault that I didn't know.

Please...WTF???

The seller is not responsible for the items use.
The buyer is 100% responsible for knowing if they can use what they're buying.

All this talk about black dots, feedback, buyer should have done this, seller should have done that, this is why I stay away from buying anything on these forums. Not worth the hassle, I just buy new, thus get a warranty (maybe limited), customer support, and no black dots, negative feedback, whatever.

Items are not always represented 100% because a seller may or not know if there is anything really wrong with the item or if it is getting ready to croak. Buyers don't always think of the right questions to ask if the pressure is on to make a decision about a purchase. At least with eBay and the likes, you know when the sale is over and you have an opportunity to research an item before committing. These forums lack that ability.

And everyone knows that many individuals WOULD hold an item for another individual depending on who that individual is and how desperate they are for the money. I have seen it many times with local flyers making deals on these forums.

Yes it is a definite buyer beware scene here.

Not true. Once the sale is over, the winning bidder has entered into a legal agreement to pay for the purchased goods. eBay is set up to allow the buyer and seller to cancel the transaction, if both parties agree to it. However, if you win something, decide you don't want it, and the seller declines to cancel the transaction and submits an unpaid item report, you get a strike on your account for it. Technically, if you refuse payment after winning the auction, you are in breach of contract and the seller could charge you as such in court. There are also services that allow eBay sellers to put non-paid auctions onto the buyer's credit report.

And I think you meant buyer.lol....

No one deceived you.
You bought the wrong thing or you don't know how to use it.

Nobody should hold a sale for anybody.PERIOD.Not ever. Not pending pics or anything.NEVER!!!
How is that fair to the guy who has the money and is ready to buy?

You are the one in the wrong.

I guess I can't blame the seller for that one . . . it's *YOUR* computer, so *YOU* are responsible for knowing how to install stuff correctly, not him . . . . besides, he may not have made the move to the latest version of BrokenWare to know that there was even an issue . . . and you can almost *always* count on MS to screw up something with regard to rearward compatibility - how else could they basically force you to buy all those otherwise unneeded new versions?

You, my friend, got boned my MS, not the seller . . . .

BBB,

I don't think we are missing your point at all!

With regard to the sim, it's about YOU doing things the right way.

YOUR computer, YOUR software/OS, YOU should have known if it will work or not. Seller has zero responsibility on this matter.

and it continues with YOU having the funds in hand if you want to buy the FBL head instead of asking the seller to hit PAUSE. He could have done a little better if he did agree to hold it. I think most sellers would tell you no, they won't hold it. I know I wouldnt based on how many times I've been burned in the past by buyers who say they'll take something only to disappear. Sadly, I come across as a seller but actually I"m almost always a buyer. You'll see that in my RR and eBay feedback. The heli you missed out on is no one's fault unless you were saying the seller should have held the heli for you because you asked for pictures.

Not true. Once the sale is over, the winning bidder has entered into a legal agreement to pay for the purchased goods.
You have time to research the item BEFORE you place your bid. You see the item, you know you have some time to shop around before you commit to bidding on it.

Can't do that here.
