Len Mount scratch built this in 1968.. It did not fly.. It was too heavy and the servo was not strong enough to change the pitch.. They kept drilling holes in the boom to make it lighter but it would not fly.. Dieter Schulter from Germany figured out fixed pitch was the way to go and therefore has the world record for inventing the RC helicopter.. And they flew.. for a minute or two before crashing due to lack of mainly tail rotor control.. I asked Len why he went with collective instead of fixed pitch.. His answer was "I didn't know any better, I copied a real machine thinking it would work.. That's also why its also being somewhat "scale" as a Hughes 300 because they copied a real machine.. He abandoned it and started buying Dieter's kits which with the Hegi Cobra and HeliBoy and so forth..
