So what's with the shape of this slot?

For a normal bellcrank, the slot would have to be straight. So what is going on here mechanically with the tail pitch control???

Oh - and what is the cool looking white fan shroud made out of???

Saturday morning I flew my helicopter in my pajamas
How it got in my pajamas I'll never know

I am guessing the bell crank is mounted vertical instead of horizontal. Looking at the radius of the slot. The pivot point should be right about the aluminum piece above the slot.

The white shroud is actually a prototype that was "printed" with a rapid prototype 3D printer. I believe the production shroud will be black. Don't think we want to pay for the white 3D printer version

Regarding what he was using in that video... Kcordell is correct. It was 690s at around 2100rpm. On Sunday the 710's got put on and the headspeed got bumped to 2200. It was just flat out scary powerful then. I don't think anyone got video of that but you should be able to see it soon.

Not sure what he had on the glow model. We spent a lot of time going over the electric model on Friday in the RV during the rainstorm. Bobby had to replace the motor from the previous week, that 's when we started going thru the model, front to back.

The frame is smiling at you .

It's more of a swing arm than a bellcrank. Both the front and rear tail pushrods connect to the bottom of it. It pivots on the center of that metal block, right above your red circle.

On a previous page it says they are not the final skids to be used on this heli.

The FBL version will be like what is pictured. That hole is not for the seesaw... its just cosmetic.

Any reason to have the tail rotor on the other side compared to the Fury 55?
