Oh yeah! Do we have 2 or 3 sites reserved this year? I should be picking up my new tent pretty soon. We actually have a bunch of them on sale at work. Just trying to figure out what size I should pick up. What day are you planning on getting there? Do you know if Gus is trying out for the NATS again this year?

For Tent camping, there are no reservations. You just pay when you get there. You can call them and find out what the going rate is. I think it's only like $5-10 /day. It could be higher, but I think I only paid like $25-40 dollars for the week last year. Anyone else remember how much it was?

Days Inn is about $50 a night. Not too clean, but you're at the field all day long so it doesn't matter anyways.

Exactly Justin!

IRCHA is the only reason I am there.......A nice quiet room w decent
bed/shower/toilet is all that is necessary for me.

And then on to the next round (day) of 'heli-heaven'................

ya,I believe he is going to fly NATS again. We have two slots reserved for the week. There will be another camper there as well.

I will be there no later than Sunday. Should be when we tug the RV up there, Maybe Sat.

Timmmy -

So you're getting there the Sunday during NATS then? I haven't figured out when I'm coming over that way. I may talk to Scott and see what his plans are for the week. I'm still pretty sure he's going.

Hotels fill up very quickly in the Muncie area because along with IRCHA it usually is Ball State moving in weekend so there are families and students in town. Your best bet is to check with a hotels on a regular basis to see if anyone cancels or check in Anderson IN which is close to Muncie

Looking back at the previous IRCHA RR pictures and videos from
2002-2005 showed mostly all older men and almost no young pilots. 2006 was pure magic with next generation helicopters released and starting 2006 on forward it seems like the younger pilots came out of the wood work and grew exponentially every year. Today I say where are the older guys? I plan on flying on the deck until I'm about 80. I'll be mellow when I'm dead.

Im thinking about driving down there this week with my EZ-UP canopy to get a good spot on the flightline. This way I'm not a half-mile from all the action.

Yes, of course I'm joking. Im not really driving there this week to claim my spot. I'll do that next week. But I really do want a spot by the west corner.

Why by the west corner? I prefer the east end when I camped down at Site 4. I stay at 3 by the bathrooms now :-)

Anyone know
If they are doing the fireworks show and nightfly like last year.
