Factory settings on the 57 is 1, 1 and 2.5 turns out for low, med and high, respectively. 1.5 turns out is likely very lean on top, especially with a new engine. I would set it to at least 2.25 on the high for now. You can lean it out some after full breakin. Mine is at 1, 0.75 and 1.75 after at least 10 gallons.

How many gallons do you have through it? I remember my Rex took 2-3 gallons before it was broken in and made great power. You'll know when it is fully broken in when that honking sound goes away.

New ring requires slight break-in. Headspeed is 2150.

Does it still honk? Try my settings and see what you think. My guess is you were running lean. Did the power fall off pretty badly under load? If so, that's lean. Do some full pitch climb-outs and see what it does.

You can make it fit very easily by sliding the bottom bracket out about 3/4 inch.

That way you won't have extra holes on the side of your nice new cano. ElyQ needs to fix this problem with bad fit on their canos.

Installing the Novarossi 57hr 3ds V2 Instructions
Hey guys well if you plan on installing the Nova in this heli it will not fit. You will need to do some mods to the frame. But dont be scared its easy. Thankfully my buddy Jamie had already done this and pointed me in the right direction. I tried to fit this motor for 45 minutes before i called him. So basically just click on the pitures and the instructions are on them. Have Fun!!!

Now installing the motor when all this is done it is very easy leave one side of the motor mount loose. Then install engine and all other screws then the skids. Then spin motor with starter over a few times to line it up and tighten all screws. And there you have it. A big A$$ motor in your super light v50c

My Fix For Proper Canopy Install
Well i found a way that works pretty good and its actually more sturdier on the Fiberglass then just the stock mount as it fatigues the thing after a while. Anyway turned out good and have clearence for my pipe. I used 1/4" Lexan(lowes, home depot) and there you have it

So WoH, how is that Nova Rossi working out? The ElyQ is such a light heli, it may be more than most can handle with 2.4 HP of the NR Rex57.

well when i got the motor used it was trashed im not to sure of the condition. I did fly 3 tanks but it was super windy so couldnt really tell and i dont think i got it totally tuned. Plus im only running 2070 HS and it needs to be 2270 crazy like electric. This weekend i will tear it up and see what its got! I will post and give a review. I would like a new piston and sleeve but its 129 bucks crazy. My team mate noah is running one and he says its stupid insane. Was a b*tch getting it in though having to do all the modding

So i just seen a V2 tail hub is out. I cant post a link but i think we all know where its at. Has nuts instead of screws holding everything together i will have to try this next. I just got finished with the TTube Conversion and boy is it nice. So i pretty much have a CXE now. It was pretty easy to do it but i took my time. I didnt know it didnt come with a boom or anything so i had to use my old one along with shaft ect. So if you plan on doing this make sure all other parts are in good condition. I will post some pics later. Took a minute to line up the hole that needed to be drilled into the fin for the lock thing that locks the tail unit into the boom threw the hole. Well im off tomorrow to get this novarossi tuned out.

Gettin my parts in the mail today arriving with insanly fast shipping from you know who Anyway i got a v2 tail hub im wondering if its any better. Wierd thing happened the shield from the bearing on the bottom of the swash came off. Im wondering if this super high headspeed is the cause. Im running 2200 for the novarossi and can actually run2270 which would be better. This has got to be hard on the heli!!!

Just reglue the shield. This use to happen often with my T-rex 700.

Anyone have problems with head shake on your 50C? This happens when I come out of heavily loaded maneuvers. It will go away if I hover for a second or two. I get this in ID1 (2000 HS) and ID2 (2100 HS). I suspect the links are worn out and getting sloppy, maybe the dampeners too.

REXXI if you have not updated your links to v2 make sure you do they are made of different plastic(alot harder). So i reglued the shield i might take the novarossi out running 2200 headspeed is going to demolish everything in the heli as far as bearings and stuff. So i got the v2 tail hub theres no difference. I also ordered some SWE"s WC there very nice looking but not sure how there gonna fly theres like no blade space. Root extremly long and tip is super tapered. I have heard nothing but good things about these blades though. I will get some pictures. REXXI i have heard problems like this from others. The head becomes very sloppy if your flying hard. The old links are soft. I have been changing my dampners alot too i dont think there bad but my flying has been getting alot morew aggressive so for two dollars its worth a change

Had another great weekend alot of flights ended up with a stripped gear. This novarossi is running great!!! Well i got slop in my tail blades i think a bad bearing from crash other weekend. So im thinking i might put the plastic grips back on as they seem to fit better and they might not be bling pretty but if they dont perform whats the use. Also im still using thrust bearings i think im gonna go angular. They come in a set anyone know or do i need to get two orders
