i wonder if my exhaust high temp flexible silicone will work on sealing it. should be fuel proof i would think. I will def let you know if it works or not. It will be about a week or so though, due to radio tray and stuff.

Don't use silicone you will have nothing but problems with it getting in to your needle seats. You are going to have to find a better rubber grommet.Or take the tank vent line and zip tie it to your rubber exhaust deflector to bleed off some pressure.

I wonder if you used a T connecter with one line from engine one from pipe and one to tank? Probaly defeats the whole ys design though i might as well just run exsaust pressure. I will tell you what the ys runs so consistant from beginning to end eeven with leak must be the fuel injection

Thanks for the heads up John!
Yeah im a bit confused as well with the deflector and zip tie deal..

It probably would defeat the purpose. The pressure will find easiest way out and thats through the exhaust.

Yes, the YS puts out a lot of pressure, but is consistent the whole tank, even with the leak. I will try those newer grommets. Maybe they updated them.

Hay guys sorry just got home. I was thinking if you put a t connector between the presser line and the tank, ran the hose to the exhaust deflector with zip ties, the titer you pull on the zip ties the smaller the hole gets on the fuel line, you can still keep most of your presser, but not blowing it out of the tank all over the place, and what ever comes out of the bypass will be just like the exhaust, and in the same place. What the hell its worth a try. you will have more then enough presser

i see where you going with that now. I will have to come up with something. I wonder if this is a common problem with ys and ely or what. I had a hell of a time getting the grommet in there was sure it wasnt going to leak but it did

So i went to charge my battery today and noticed my radio tray has cracked. I knew this was a weak spot but this is easily fixable. I used a spare peice of carbon and a bunch of epoxy. Will see if it holds. The next set of pictures i wanna show you guys how i just did my vent line. I used a t fitting and zip tied it to the frame and then used the align fuel filter plug to cap it when i fly. Cant wait to try it will be better then unplugging the line in hard spots after every flight.

Nice heli John!
I wonder if a grommet or the rubber from the header tank you used would work

If it were me I would try some thing like this. http://www.sullivanproducts.com/Fue...tsMainFrame.htm You will have to modify your tank, I have not used one on helis but I have had good luck on my planks and YS engines. you will find what you need in this link. hope this helps.
