Engine?
I still have a couple of those gas drinkers here, let me know what you need. One is a 230, and the other is the older version 23. Stan

Emperor Mojave and his apprentice Scale Sidious have beconed me to the electric dark side but I, IC Engine Skywalker shall not bend under thier will.

Actually I like the idea of electric but the cost to convert and lack of flight time keeps me away at present.

While sorting out issues with the paint for the EC and BK I decided to put some color to the MD 900. This is GM's Bahama Blue Metalic.

I need to even up the body as there are some light spots but that wont be hard. I'm going to get my graphics in white and possibly a few stipes of contrast color done by Callie Graphics to break up the blue. So far so good.

Been busy with work and home but found time tonight to make it to my friends shop. 2 hours later my 900 had a nice "case of the blues"

Now that its back at the house I can start taking measurements and get my decals made for it. I'm also hoping to have my electric conversion for it soon as well.

Its almost there........

You just can't beat that awesome color! Should be very easy to track in the air. Nice job.

Callie Graphics did them. This is my third helicopter she's done. She does awsome work. The vinyl is thin (yet strong) so is easy to lay down over rivets.

So we were coming back from the rained out Daytona 500 today and stopped in Cape Canaveral for dinner at the port. Moored at the dock was (microsoft) Paul Allen's mega yaght "Meduse" with a 900 Notar lashed down to the aft deck. Must be nice...

His "home" is nearby on Mercer Island - one of many, but I know he spends a lot of time there. One of my college buddie's Mom has worked for him since the old days. He has a few of those huge yachts. Not sure how long Meduse is, but we saw "Tatoosh" moored off of Roach Harbor about 3 years ago. It's 100m long. He also has one called "Octopus" that's 127m - well over 400' long. I also worked on his hangar at Boeing Field when it was constructed in the mid-90's. At that time he a couple of Boeing liners, several biz-type jets including a GS, and several helis. Those were just the ones at BF. He also has a bunch up at Paine Field in Everett including his warbird collection. I wonder how many helis he owns and what they are? I understand he uses the same paint job on all of them - I think someone here said that.

Even if I won the Powerball, it'd still be like pocket change to these guys. Sheesh. I wanna go broke like that, too...
