funny you mention "snow rake", that's why i was looking on youtube to see if anyone uses one of those electric toro snow shovels on their roof because i was on my roof trying to remove about 2 feet of snow.

home depot had a limited supply today and after about 90 minutes i got the majority of snow off of roof.

if i fall off of my roof, there is too much snow for me to get hurt

Mine is just the aluminum deal that looks like a big hoe with a really long handle. My roof is very steep and metal and the snow always slides right off. I have two smaller roofs that come off of each end and they are much flatter so I have used the rake on those. My previous house had a fairly shallow metal roof and the snow rake made short but labor intensive work of it when it had close to three feet on it one winter. I could pull huge chunks at a time and not worry about getting on the roof or having the snow fall on me and it was still easier than getting up on it and trying to shovel it.

What I find just as stupid as the guy removes snow from his roof while standing in the gutter, he's removing snow from a standing seam metal roof. ... WHY?

... what a dumba$$

If you ever need one - thought I'd pass it on.
Pretty easy to make and cheap! Work's great !

2" X 14' Wooden Pole: 'closet department at the lumber yard'

Poly - Cutting Board : ' House Ware's '

Metal Flag Bracket : ' Garden Dept ' " Some have adjustable angle's"
" Get the metal One "

Whittle the end to fit the bracket, drill it and screw it.

Bolt the cutting board to it ! The angle make it great.

I find all sort's of great uses for mine even in the summer, top dressing concrete, pulling leaves out from under vehicles ect
