Hi
i used my os hyper with align muffler for long time (fuel at 30%) and never had a problem... then i decided to change it with the powerboost and i have a problem now...
at idle the engine goes down and burns the glow plug (os 8)
tried with three new os 8 and the same problem
which is the problem?? i really don't understand

thanks

I would put it back with the Align muffer and see what happens then , you may need to adjust low end setting or maybe check your engine bearings for wear , that will cause what you are talking about burning up the plugs.

Did you RTV the seal between engine and muffler? If you did, than it could easily be small amounts of RTV flaking off and eating your plug. It only takes the smallest bit and will keep doing it until all of the extra flakes off or you run out of plugs.

its not the pipe
the 50 hyper runs very well with the power boost pipe

i'd lookat the bearings/as states any rtv on the joint/fuel lines/mixture settings
and make sure the pressure feed nipple is clear

Among other things mentioned..........
Burnt glo plugs are an indication of a lean running motor...

Without changing anything else, replace the glo plug with a new one and richen the low needle until it's slobbering rich..... then re-adjust from there for a nice reliable idle but on the rich side...

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

i had the same problem your need to shim your head to run 30 percent fuel check your head clearance it should be about 28 thousand of an inch to run 30 percent fuel ad some head shims to lower the compretion and retard ignition burning plugs are du to preignition (to high compretion with 30 prcent fuel)also you could try enya no 3 plug

nothing to do... other 2 plugs off...
the engine has not so many flies... but could it be the engine bearings???

about the last reply... should i use a lower nitro % fuel??

another thing i didn't say... when i swithced to piper boost.. i had to change the throttle curve... since i didn't have idle more, yes at 1/4 throttle stick engine shut off..
