Looks legit to me, but its tough to tell since the plane goes out of camera for a little bit.... Either way WHAT A NIGHTMARE for the BOTH pilots lol Judging by everyones reaction and what goes on after the collision I vote real.

That was real. No one got hurt, but unfortunately, the world of RC aircraft may be affected by this incident in the form of restrictive federal aviation regulations.

The FAA regulations are not to govern RC aircraft. They are being drafted to govern the flight of UAV's in the public airspace.

Stupidity can be cured. Ignorance is for life!

The RC pilot is unbelievable. He's complaining about something monetary when he almost killed two people in the plane. Not to mention the damages to that aircraft will probably cost thousands of dollars.

well in all seriousness,it wasn't his fault. His caller maybe. But the full scaler I'm sure knew there was something happening at that strip and was showboating.

Well----as a professional full-scale pilot

I place the most blame on the guy flying the Pits (the real thing) (or whatever it is).

I'm sure the pilot was aware of the airport having NOTAMS for the R/c demonstration. - But he Still decided to make a low & Fast approach ( kinda showboating) without KNOWING that the active was clear---which it was not.

I'm sure someone on the ground running the R/c show had a VHF scanner on the airports CTAF or Unicom or Tower Freq. I have a feeling the pilot made little to no calls (as they are NOT required---If that was a Class G- or E airport like it looked like)) and paid the price for it!

I feel sorry for the kid loosing his plane.

Dropping Tones!

That was a pretty big RC plane.... Wouldn't the full scale pilot have seen it?
