Well, I finally got it done and flew it today. Sorry I didn't take the camera so no pics as of now but the one sitting on the bench. Took the whole fleet and you can guess which one was the most fun?? Yep, the Bell 47. It flew great with the OS .37, very quiet with the TT pipe, flew several curcuits and landed with no issues, still had 3/4 of a tank so Iam guessing easy 15 minutes or more per tank, I like that and its swinging Mah 600 blades and this thing will scoot across the sky. Had to modify the scale frame on the muffler side, I had to cut the tube going down and bend it around the muffler, turned out great and looks like it was made that way. I will take a pic if your interested in seeing the mod.

Some of you know that I had no plans on keeping this one but now Iam not so sure.

Iam just happy they all came back in one piece.

Just in case your wondering. Ecureuil flies great but has a heavy feel, very big in the sky and easy to see, looks scale. Agusta 109 flies great, very heavy and feels it, hard to see at certain angles, flies great but more like a brick with a rotor. Bell 47, very stable, feels light in the air and flies scale, hard to see at certain angles but overall my favorite of the three.

Cool. I'm building the squirrel with rex600e mechanics and a 3 blade head. Hope it feels a little lighter with the 3 blade head swinging 600mm blades.

All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

Cockpit Detail....
Bell 47, very stable, feels light in the air and flies scale, hard to see at certain angles but overall my favorite of the three
I did a build/conversion on the Century Bell 47 for a friend.... and the pic's are in my gallery... I added the ccpm conversion that Century sells for these mechanics and it clears the entire nose for cockpit detailing.... "all this info for this".... I also owned a gasser sized 47G and had the problem of it being hard to see at certain angles... and the cure was to install the detail and some pilots in bright colors so that when that clear bubble comes around you have a reference... it stopped the "hard to see" problem complety... you can see pic's in my gallery of the big 47 and the Century conversion..(the cockpit detailing is in the process now!!)
Just a thought that might help you out if you choose to try it,... the ccpm conversion is very easy...

Nice looking fleet..... Stan

Thanks
I can see where that would help by putting a cockpit in but I don't keep a heli long enough to install a scale cockpit... Iam going to try and get an updated pic of the Bell 47, it now has the end caps on the fin and the left sideframe is now mounted. The Bell 47 has the honors of sitting on the bench, the other two aren't to happy having to sit on the shop floor. Not sure if Im going to sell one yet, might have to finance my Vario Boxer I picked up not too long ago, its waiting on electronics.

Thanks Stan for the info, I read all about your Century Bell 47 conversion and it turned out great, really liked your big Hirobo 47 too.

Stan, I might have some questions about Vario heli's, heard your part of the team now???
