Ok guys I been flying a trex 700 for one year with the align 91 version engine and align pipe. I want more power and am debating over the YS motor or the OS motor with their respsctive Hatorie pipes! which motor is stronger and will i notice any improvement over the stock align motor i'm running now?

Try doing a search. You'll find that this has been covered too many times to count and you're going to get opinions from both sides.

Depends on what align 91 you have. If its the H then you will gain no power with the 91HZ. Doesn't really matter though, you want the most power hands down? Get a YS 91SR-3DS, nothing else is even close.

Compared to a 91HZ, I would say the YS 91SR 3DS has a solid 15% more power

You will also need a pipe to go along with the engine.

Copy the setup that Aaron Johnson is using. He has that YS figured out as good as anyone.

Having the engine tuned and set correctly goes along making power. If you dont, you can have the best 91 engine in the world looking like 32.

To be truthful I am surprised that you are not tearing the sky up with the Align/OS.
If you have a bad setup now, or you havent learned how to manage headspeed, a stronger engine won't do much for you!

BTW

WHY ARE YOU YELLING

Aaron ,you seem the most confident in your opinion on the new YS motor. I wanted to make it clear that i'm running the blue headed 91 Align spin off motor to the Os.It;s power is ok but as i watch some of the pros fly no matter how hard they push ther choppers they don't bogg ,I admit I'm not the best when it comes to collective management but i feel i could use more power , especially when doing my tic tocs. So the YS is the way to go with a Hatori pipe?

A good pilot can make a heli look stronger then it is. Go with 3ds if you want the most power, it is in a league of its own, even if you have it rich of still has more power then anything else. The OS Hz's are great engines but the YS is cheaper, lighter, and more powerfull

I have both engines, each with Hatori pipes.

Both engines work great.

The YS does make more power.

The OS is smoother (less vibration).

to my knowledge:

91SR-3DS and 91SRS are the same. The YS91SR-3C is the same as the YS91SR with the exception that it has a steel lined backplate and a slightly bigger heatsink on the head.

Can't go wrong with the YS/hatori combo. It pulls like a champ and has the set it and forget it reliability.

OS for smoothness and ease of tuning, YS for power, Hatori for both.

The new YS SR 3DS is smoother than the SR, it would be my YS preference.

Right now I like OS, seems easier to deal with.

Really, both are awesome engines, you can't make a bad choice between these two.
