Hi all
1st post here so starting off with a hello

For about 15 yrs i have had my old Kalt Baron helicopter put away in the loft. I finally got it out after my partner brought me a 3 channel S032 and i told the kids i had a much larger helicopter i flew many years ago tucked away
Anyway my question is can this modernised (some parts changed from a newr different model) or still get the parts for this helicopter or am i wasting my time

Kalt is out of business....you can find(maybe) parts here....or on eBay. What do you need?

Hi Joel
When i put the helicopter in the loft it was in working order parts wise, it needs new servo's, battery, glow plug and plastic fuel tank/fuel lines now.
As i was a complete novice flying wise then and even greener now i exspect several crashes, so what i'm really asking is there alternative modern parts that will fit when i have the big crash or even could i start with just the frame and fit internals from a new petrol helicopter onto my old frame

If you are expecting a few crashes, you may want to consider flying one of the newer helis. You can find some used ones, if you wish to save on initial costs or just build new for the experience of building the heli and getting to know its eternals. Then, later when you feel confident in flying without a lot of crashes, fix the kalt and fly it or just sell it.

Man, I miss the eighties.

The usual recommendation for someone beginning would be to practice on a Simulator in order to reduce the chances of a crash. Then buy a new helicopter to fly. Later you can refurbish the Space Baron and fly it when you're more confident. The Kalt is a capable heli as I still fly them (over 400 logged flights in 2010). In the UK the Space Baron was very popular and you should be able to find lots of used parts for it. Don't hesitate to ask for help/advice on RR.
