Hi guys, i was wondering if folks have squeezed this motor in the ENV or T700?

Did it require the frame being modified ? Did it just fit ? Did the motor mount spacing work out ok ? Did the Ele servo mount get in the way ?

Dont suppose anyone has any pix ?

Thanks.
Cheers guys.

I saw in Helicraze's gallery the other day he fitted one in his 700E. He had to dremel away a recess in the elevator servo mount; https://rc.runryder.com/gallery/64296/ Would be a drop in otherwise I imagine with the stock M4x30mm mount.

A while ago I saw a pic of a 45XX in Curtis' ENV. It wasn't the 4525 as it had a smooth surface, possibly a prototype or custom design. Can't be the 50XX as way too wide to fit in the ENV.

Curtis & Nick have obviously flown with the 4525 as Brian commented this motor was a monster!

Saw this vid the other day of Nick with the 4525; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn9cXrFSab8 You'll need the 30mm mount & counterbearing which aren't available yet.

Crazy power but only 3-4min flying times, no thanks! Plus the 4525 is LE after all, I think they only made 300 of them, don't like that. We should be able to buy it anytime!

Btw I'm wondering if this motor is as powerful if not more than the Castle motor in Tim Jones' BEAST.

Hinteresting

So the ENV wont do it cause of the motor bolt spacing.....figures, 9mm spindles etc...

Dont spose youd know if the engine has provision for a set of 25mm spaced holes to be tapped and drilled, to use the 25mm spacing of ENV hardware ?

Nup, according to the dimensions here, no room to drill & tap holes 25mm apart;http://www.scorpionsystem.com/files...l_dimension.pdf It does use beefy 10mm ID bearings after all which is ideal.

Info sheet; http://www.scorpionsystem.com/catal...45/HK_4525_520/ Note 9.6kW peak rating. As we know, us pilots push our motors beyond the ratings set by Scorpion.

I think it was asked already in the env 700 forum, there is now 30MM mount, pretty sure it fits.

Both my pyro and LE motor have the timer set to 4.5 mins flying like a mad man!

The LE does get quite hot, 70deg on 28-30deg ambient day. I put a heatsink on my motor mount. Keep in mind this is in the TDR with NO cooling whatsoever, the canopy keeps the heat in

That is hot. Yesterday the 4035-560 in my ENV topped at 74C on a 29C day but it was very humid. On a drier day, same air temp, the motor is 10C cooler, go figure! There is no cooling inside the ENV canopy either, it being painted/moulded black on the inside doesn't help either!

What temp do you get on your Pyro? I got one on the way for my Faifa. Really impressed how cool it runs in Marco's Faifa, must mean it's more efficient.

There is a 30mm mount but none available for sale yet; http://www.powerrchobbies.com/categ...d=ND-YR7-AS1127

It has been humid here also, the pyro anything from 50-60deg from memory, it is normally only warmish to touch.
