Looking to replace my 9303 with either the 9503 or the 11x. The cost of the 11x is sort of steep so I'm wondering if the 9503 will suffice the needs without the extra 200 bones. I fly electrics, helis and planks. Would like to have 4 servo ailerons someday and not have to buy matchboxes. Right now the only reason for change is to get a 2.4 native radio and a backlit screen so i can stop destroying lipos from leaving it on! And of course model match. Anybody own both of these radios? Let me know your opinions of both

IMO, 9303 was a better radio than what 9305 is.
I sold my 9303 to buy the newest 9305 and I was disapointted;
sold the 9305 within a month.

my 2 cents.

I recently upgraded from a DX7 to a 9503 and I'm lovin it. Like the extra channels, as well as the different programming options.

I have both. I REALLY like the 9503 but it stays in the Tx case. The 11X gets a workout every time I go to the field. The 11X just has so much more to offer. It's going to take a crow bar to pry the 9503 away but it is depreciating every day especially since the Spectrum 8x is out. So, I'm probably going to sell it.

I do know you WILL be happy with either one. They are both great Tx.

This hobby is WAY too expensive!!

What more does the 11X offer that the 9503 doesn't have? All I can get from the product description is easy switch assignability. And a batman looking case

Lemme know if you wanna make a deal on that 9503 !!!

I upgraded from a 10x to the 11x and love it.Has a slot for a SD card slot for updates and extra model storage and transfer. No sending it back in for updates
Easy programming, back light in screen display, large screen, timers
I look at the 9503 and after holding the 11x and did some research on RR. Also check differnce in specs on JR site, the 11x was my chioce and I don't have any regrets

just fly

Assignably is much better. Mixes are better, and you don't have to turn the damn thing off to get in the system menu.

And the SDCard, there have been 3 software updates so far.

I just can't get over that TX case... it's just looks awkward to hold. Wish I had a hobby shop worth a shiz around here so I could check one out in person.

If anybody wants to loan me one for a week I'll pay shipping

I have used or set up just about every heli radio out there and I can tell you that the 11x is probally the most advanced radio thar JR has ever made. Tons of features, easy to use, and the sd card slot makes it very nice to manage data. You mentioned the backlit screen, it's very nice and the gimbals are super smooth.

I consider the Futuaba's some of the more advanced radios, as far as quality And programming, but the 11x is right up there as far as functionality And quality!

If you are looking for a more advanced radio, the 11 is worth the money. If you don't need the advanced features, the 9503 is a good choice.

Not trying to change your brand, but with the matchbox dilemma, you might check out the Futaba 8fg and the sbus system.

I went from a dx7 to 11x. Love the 11x. The feel of the radio is what made me get it. Looks a little strange but you really need to hold one. The programing is also a great big step up over dx7.

I own both a 9303 and a DX7SE. The DX7SE is new to me and is all I use. I havent been flying planes lately so the 9303 doesnt get used except for playing Phoenix. The 9303 is great and I have owned it since the 2.4 ghz version came out. But I needed the speed of the DX7SE and havent turned the 9303 on for any of my helicopters ince I got the DX7. The difference between the 9303 and 9503 was not enough for me to want to "upgrade". Also my main flying buddy had a 11x and I fly all his models pretty often. I am a pinch flyer and do not have and issue holding that radio. It is very nice and all but call me crazy, I am more of a function over fasion guy and the DX7SE does everything I need, faster then the 9303 and 11x. With that being said, I considered getting rid of both radios and getting a DX8, but I think I am just going to hold onto the 9303 for planes. So I say save the money and get a 2.4 9303 or 9503. It will do everyhing you want it to.

If anyone knows of a good used 11x for sale let me know! Thanks for all of the replies. I basically want to have a radio that doesn't leave me wanting more. A buddy is ready to buy my xp9303 for what I paid for it. I don't feel it's worth 550 to get a 9503 that will only have a backlit screen and native 2.4 when it will just leave me wanting more. I had some issues with my 2.4 module recently and want a native system to eliminate yet another variable in the chain of operating these sweet machines!!!

And as far as futaba goes, sure they are great but JR just feels better and with 11 spektrum rx's the cost of rx replacement alone is enough to drive me away. They sure are Proud of faast
