If you like the feel of the logitech gyro, I would run it. I was never impressed with the 3G gyro.

thanks pc12 i was just curious if the 3g "talked" with the tail so everything works together .... or am i just crazy lol and i do like the logictec holds like a rock its proven itself on this heli already so it will greatly decrease my setup time and complications

Mount the sensor properly (Spartan Vibration Attenuation Kit) using Spartan foam, thick metal plate, thin tape, sensor, then strap it down reasonably tight. Then use the programmer to drop Tail Lock Gain 20 points from default (70 to 50 I think), the 3G tail is great. I like the modded 3G setup way better than my LTG6100 on my 700 setup (I had 6100 + SK360 on my #2 T700 before I went to the full Leon Luke modded 3G.)

hummmm lol now all i can ask is that does the 3g need to have control of the tail to work to its full potential ??? any ideas

jsenicka i belive you about how good the tail hold but im am trying to keep it as simple as i can for my first run at this if i can eliminate the tail and just concentrate on the cyclic controls im thinkin it may be easier ????

remember this is a proven machine with only 3 gallons thu her just switchin the head

let me know what you guys think

thanks

The 3G should work fine without tail control. That said, I have not tried. I know for sure you cannot use your LTG6100G tail servo with the 3G.

To get the full potential of the 3G, you need to use all three gyros.

I'd recommend the 3G on the tail.

It holds on tail slides and backwards inverted flight.

With, no issues

I use the 3G tail gyro and like it. Some guys run what they have such as a Spartan 760 or Quark and bypass the 3G tail.

i have the 3G and the tail holds really good and it does work with the other 2 gyros.the only bad things i see on the 3G tail is when it's windy the piro rate is not very consistent, but other than that the tail will work good.

If you use the programmer to drop the tail lock gain, then boost your transmitter gyro gain you will get more consistent piro speeds

i think is just the way the tail gyro works,it was the same with the GP780 gyro. i am not complaining about it,but just compareing it with the v bar ,when is windy the 3G doesn't piro at the same rate, not that bad tho

ok im still setting up had to do the pin mod on the control unit very easy to do so with all this said im going to try the 3g tail not like im missing out on flying only got to 23 deg today lol

now all i have to do is figure out how to change my pitch in the tx 3g manual says to use the swash witch would be great but raptor uses H1 swash and only can control ail and ele %'s and when i change them it dosent do anything ??? do you have to change this befor you do the inital setup???

no babe i swear i sold my other heli to buy this one :)

the use of swash mix is only if you are mixing the pit, ail, ele. in your case i would think you have to use the ATV for each cyclic servo and pitch servo, and use different dual rates for different flight modes ...
