I heard he is working on a turbine 450. Just joking guys I could not resist. A little humor never hurts. I hope Matt is making us all sorts of good products.

Thanks,
Chris

Right now there is only speculation about what Synergy/Matt is going to release next. There is always talk about what people think will happen. Only Matt can clear the water and give true information about what he and Synergy are working on.:

Thanks,
Chris

A competition kit, now what could that comprise of???

Carbon frames, metal main shaft bearing blocks, torque tube tail drive, new canopy shape to name a but few ideas that spring to mind...

Does beeflyer , check his signature "team synergy" know something we dont?????
And would the current N5 be upgradable to the competition N5, if such things were to turn out to be more than just rumours??

Good to speculate I suppose, but not sure their is much to improve on the current N5.

Carbon Frames - what's wrong with the G10, they are strong and cheap.
Metal bearing blocks - plastic ones are kinder to bearings
Torque tube - what's wrong with the belt, and more forgiving.
Canopy shape - sorry but colour scheme maybe, but shape nothing wrong there.

Only things I would like to see (and I'm being picky):

Revised oneway - already launched
Better fixing for bellcranks - again apparently sorted
Quick release for canopy
Revised fan shroud fixings

In my opinion N5 is a training helicopter. The best upgrade for the present kit is the manual. Not all construction details are given and if this is your first IC helicopter then you can run in problems. If you are experienced you will have to improvise here and there. My main problem was the ball links. One possible way to deal with that is to add a proper ball link sizing tool in each kit. Without one you will have to improvise and add risk to the construction. In compensation they can remove the tail blades and the paddles from the kit. The plastic used is too soft.

I am not sure if a 50 nitro helicopter can go against any 90 nitro. So I would not call it competition unless we talk about a N9.

I would welcome some options for the present N5:
1) torque tube
2) Larger foot print of the landing area (useful in emergency landings far from or even outside pilot’s field of view).
3) bell crank assembly (This is a problem with all electronic ccpm current designs because it relies on tap screws or alike.)

Again these should be just optional parts.

In the end how much power to weight will you get? 10%? Is that significant for most of us?

correct me if I am wrong but the new .50-.55 are narrowing the gap between the .90's
I am pretty sure Kyle Dahl won 3D Masters last year with a .50 size logo, logo 600?

I believe its already been quoted that new landing gear struts have been designed and I'd suspect that these will be included in any future kits once the mould has been perfected.

I mentioned that N5 is a training helicopter because it can help in learning several 3D figures. Yet not all of them can be performed as fast as with a N9. N5 is more economical too. My personal goal is to improve my skills with N5 until I am ready for a 90. That means to be able to fly in all orientations without any problems plus some piro-flips. That might take long time.
