Here's my .02 and thats all you're getting, I wouldn't waste a nickel on this.

E Insane, tapering off short lived power
N Consistent messy fairly long mediocre power

I have both and like both and also can't stand both for various reasons

Just a quick question...are you comparing your Protos to your 700N?

We need to get off this nitro vs. electric kick. Let's discuss the merits of the .45 auto vs. 9mm or Ford vs. Chevy.

I bet Communisum started as a Electric vs NITRO thread. I can't speak for every other NITRO flyer but it's like this for me. I've been flying helis since 1987 They were NITRO helis back then. I've continued to fly through the years and it has only been the last few that electrics have become practical. However We the men of times gone by live by a different set of values than you modern electric flyers. I don't even think you electric guys can comprehend "You leave the dance with the one that brought you" There simply isn't room in my life for electric helis so quit trying to sell me on something I don't want!
NITRO flying ,having the time of my life, Junkpilot

Very well said Junkpiolet,Im also one of the 80s pilots addicted to Nitro, and always will be.

90% of guys that are against a nitro motor are
#1 scared of the motor.
#2 think tuning is difficult.
#3 only fly electric because its easier to just plug it in and go.

#4 they cant change the wiper flood in their car or fire up a lawnmower firing up a nitro would be the furthest thing from their imagination

how many of you guys have ever changed transmission fluid ?
that fly electric ?

Whats a transmission flood ? I have changed trany fluid, but always use a catch pan so I don't get a flood.
.
I fly all electric now, but nitro's are self lubricating.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?
