Finally found enough time on a weekend to get the benzin finished and flying. Thing flies so smooth. Still setting it up and trimming it out but overall the conversion was well worth it. I've flown a few varios before but this one is by far the smoothest flyer.

XeraMotor 4035/4Y-300
Hobbywing Platinum 120A HV Esc
Turnigy 6S 5000Mah 30C x 2
Separate receiver battery

Yep, I have a Vario cobra half finished in the garage. I'm seriously thinking of going electric now on this build. No more chasing needle settings and getting the engine tuned....

Converting Scaler!!!!!
I just did my Benzin Jet Ranger and I have to tell you that it is the BEST if has flown since I built it.... and it flew nice before, but now I REALLY like it.... I am just about through my entire fleet now, converting one at a time from nitro or gas to electric... it has taken some time, but I feel it well worth it.... I still have my Vario Hughes 500 with 5 blade head to convert and all the parts are sitting in the shop for that one too...just need a little more time to get into it!!!!!

My Vario Huey is E-benzine and I love it...Actro 32/4,CChv80,10S 8000 batteries. Running stock gearing on top and 22/48 on the lower belt end thruogh the clutch. 1250 head speed @ 86% can get easily 12 minute flights... oh and it weighs in at a mere 22lbs. (Maybe a bit more since I added interior cockpit/seasts pilots etc...)

After going to SEFF and flying my Flybarless Cobra I am in the middle of converting the benzine to Flybarless

Home of the "Sea Cobra".....
