Well i've heard this was a common problem. When i do fast flips and snap it to come out it kinda bounces on the elevator. I havn't done much testing with it on aileron but it seems better than on elevator. I heard that this was fixed with the new firmware, but can anyone confirm this for me? I'm going to email Curtis and ask for the download so i can try it anyway but i was just wondering if anyone's tried it yet .

if it bounces at the stops that means your stop vaules are incorrect. Raise the stop value. I would read the total-G Detailed instructions on the CYE website.

What blades are you using? FBL or STD?

FBL blades will help all the way around but definitely make sure your programming is correct.

Who cares... its just money...

the programming is correct. I know a very experienced pilot who had the same problem. I know he worked on it a little with Curtis, but i'll try raising the elevator stops. What incriments should i use? By 5's? I'm not sure how much i'll need to imput to fix the bobble. I know FBL blades will give me a little edge and i have a set of Edge FBL's i'm looking forward to using, but i can tell what i'm getting now is not because of the blades.

raise them by ones. The stops on flips have nothing to do with the new firmware. The stops on the end of tailslides were worked on a bit, but straight flips is pretty much down to the stops from what i've seen.

ok thanks! I'll raise them by 1's and see if that helps. I will hopefully have time tomorrow for 1 or 2 flights so that should get me closer

Like it says in the detailed manual I would do series of 2 (front flips back flips, rolls both directions) and adust from there.

what do you mean by "series or 2"? Just adjusting all stops equally?

No, a series OF 2. By that I mean 2 consecutive front flips then stop and see if it coasts to far when you stop the flip or bounces, then 2 consecutive back flips checking for the same thing, then 2 consecutive left rolls checking to see if it coasts or bounces, and 2 consecutive right rolls.

I could be way off base here, but I think we are overthinking it.

What is your current FC Gain Setting? If its slightly high, the first place it will show up is in the elevator.

Eric,

I would go back and revisit the Flight Control gains ( First, letting us know what your actual gain is) and then possibly trying Higher/Lower gain setting before adjusting stop speeds, stop gains Etc.

Sounds like a basic FBL tuning issue. Not to say the other provided information is not correct, but just a different approach at the issue.

i will check that and get back to you. not sure if i can work on it a bunch till the weekend though . I also heard from someone that the firmware update also was a solution to this problem. Hmm...well i'll check the gain first

The new firmware does improve that to where less adjustments are needed if any! I highly recommend a set of FBL blades!

i see how FBL blades could give me a little edge but that's definately not what is causing this problem. I might start by getting the new firmware from Curtis and see what that does. How far did you have to adjust your stops to get it set?

i'm bringin' this thread back for a second . I just read something somewhere else about FC gain. Could lowering that possibly solve the bobble? I did raise the stops (they're at 4 above stock in both directions) and my FC gain is at 52 (raised from 48 stock). I havn't noticed any changes yet. I did get the new firmware from Curtis but i havn't downloaded it yet and won't have time to today. Just wondering if lowering the FC gain below 48 (stock) could also help in some way.
